유치원 교육실습생이 인식한 지도교사에 대한 역할기대-수행 간의 차이 및 실습불안∙갈등 간의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 유치원 교육실습생이 인식한 실습지도교사 역할에 대한 기대와 역할수행간의 차이를 살펴보고 그러한 차이가 교육실습생이 느끼는 불안과 갈등과 관련성이 있는지를 밝히기 위해 수행되었다. 본 연구는 대전, 대구, 경북에 소재한 3년제와 4년제 대학 5곳의 유아교육과 학생들 중 2012년도 유치원 교육실습을 마친 예비유아교사 157명을 대상으로 실시되었다. 연구대상에게 실습지도교사의 역할수행에 대한 기대 및 실제수행정도, 실습불안 및 갈등에 관한 설문지를 작성하도록 하였고 이를 SPSS15.0프로그램을 이용하여 통계처리 하였다. 연구결과, 실습지도교사의 역할수행에 대한 기대 및 실제수행정도는 유의미한 차이를 나타내었고, 이러한 차이는 교육실습생의 실습불안 및 갈등과 큰 연관성을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 교육실습과정에서 긍정적인 효과를 성취하기 위해서는 실습지도교사의 역할수행에 관한 기대와 실제수행간의 일치를 이룰 수 있도록 실습지도교사 역할 수행을 위한 지원방안이 마련되어야 하며, 이는 교사양성과정의 제도적 체제로 적용되어야 함을 알 수 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to determine the discrepancy between expectation of cooperating teachers' roles, performance perceived by intern teachers. and the relationships to anxiety and conflict of early childhood intern teachers. A total of 157 intern teachers who were enrolled in the early childhood education course participated in this research. Data was collected by the scales of role expectation on cooperating teachers (Kuehl, 1984; Shin, 1998), and scale of anxiety and conflict of student teachers by Chio (2007). Data was analyzed by SPSS statistic program with descriptive analysis, Anova and t-test. The results showed that (1) in comparisons of cooperating teachers' educational background, years of teaching, and numbers of mentoring internships, there are significant differences in intern teachers' perception on performance of mentoring ability of cooperating teachers during internship. (2) There is significant discrepancy between intern teachers' expectation and performance of cooperating teacher's mentoring ability. (3) The discrepancy was significantly related to anxiety and conflict of the early childhood intern teachers in positive and negative ways. These results suggest that the need for systematic support and education for cooperating teachers to implement their mentoring roles more effectively and ultimately call for reconstruction of the current student-teaching system toward research-based and university-kindergarten cooperative mentioning program.
