유아의 자율행동에 따른 마음이론과 자아개념의 관계

국문 초록

본 연구는 유아의 자율행동이 사회인지 변인인 마음이론과 자아개념과 어떻게 관련되어 있는지 유아 성별에 따라 탐색해 보고자 하였다. Y시 7개 어린이집에 재원중인 만 5세 유아 93명을 대상으로 교사가 평정하는 유아용 자율행동 검사도구와 개별면접을 통해 마음이론과 자아개념 검사를 실시하고 상관관계 분석 및 단순회귀분석을 통해 그 결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 유아의 자율행동과 마음이론의 관계는 의미 있는 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 성별로는 자율행동과 마음 이론에서는 남아와 여아 모두 통계적으로 의의가 없었다. 둘째, 유아의 자율행동과 자아개념 간에는 전체적으로 의미 있는 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 성별로는 남아는 사회적 자아에서 통계적으로 의의 있는 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 여아는 학문적 자아와 가족 자아에서 다소 높은 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the relationship between young children's autonomous behavior and their theory of mind and self-concept according to gender. Subjects were ninety-three five-year-old children at seven child-care centers in Y city. Data was obtained by the teachers marking the young children's autonomous behavior rating scale and through interviews asking their theory of mind and self-concept. The collected data were analyzed by Pearson's correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results of this study were as follows: First there was a significant positive relationship between young children's autonomous behavior and their theory of mind. With regards to gender, there were no significant differences between boys and girls with respect to autonomous behavior and theory of mind. Second, there was a significant positive relationship between young children's autonomous behavior and their self-concept. In terms of the gender, boys' social self-concept was related significantly while girls' academic and family self-concepts were related significantly among autonomous behavior and the sub-areas of self-concept.
