국문 초록

본 연구는 대학의 노인복지교육에 IC-PBL(Industry-Coupled Problem-Based Learning) 수업방식을 적용하고, 이에 대한 학습자들의 경험을 질적으로 분석하여 그 교육적 효과를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 2024학년도 2학기 C대학 사회복지학과 노인복지론 교과목에 IC-PBL을 적용하여 수업을 진행하였으며, 이 수업에 참여한 학습자 44명이 작성한 성찰일지를 토대로 IC-PBL 학습경험을 질적 내용분석을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다: 첫째, 노인과 경로당에 대한 학습자들의 인식의 변화가 나타났다. 둘째, 학습자들의 문제해결능력과 협업을 통한 실천역량이 증진되었다. 셋째, 학습자들의 사회복지실천현장과 진로에 대한 관심이 확장되었다. 넷째, IC-PBL 수업활동에서 창의성의 발현과 의견표출 및 조율의 어려움이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 기존 연구에서 다루지 않은 새로운 접근으로, 실천적 현장교육의 기반 마련을 위한 탐색적 연구로 의의를 가진다. 또한 노인복지교육에서 IC-PBL을 처음으로 적용하고자 하는 교수자에게 실질적인 설계정보와 수업 운영의 고려사항을 제공함으로써 실천적 활용도가 높은 자료를 제공한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the educational effectiveness of applying the IC-PBL (Industry-Coupled Problem-Based Learning) approach to university-level education in social welfare for the elderly. To this end, the IC-PBL method was implemented in the “Social Welfare for the Elderly” course offered by the Department of Social Welfare at C University during the second semester of the 2024 academic year. The experiences of 44 students who participated in the course were qualitatively analyzed using content analysis based on their written reflection journals. Key findings include: (1) changes in students' perceptions of older adults and senior centers; (2) improved problem-solving and collaboration skills; (3) increased interest in social welfare practice and careers; and (4) challenges in expressing and coordinating ideas during creative group activities. This study offers a novel approach not previously addressed in existing research and holds significance as an exploratory effort to establish a foundation for practice-based field education. Furthermore, it provides practical insights and considerations for instructors seeking to apply IC-PBL in social welfare education for the first time, thus serving as a highly applicable resource for instructional planning and implementation.
