국문 초록

본 연구는 청소년의 문화다양성 인식 수준과 영향 요인을 분석하고, 인식 유형별 특성을 규명하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 전국 중·고등학생 800명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 인지적, 정서적, 행동적 영역의 문화다양성 인식과 한국어 능력, 사회적 지지, 다문화 경험 등을 조사하였다. 자료는 기술통계, 다중회귀분석, 군집분석(K-means), 분산분석(ANOVA)으로 진행했다. 분석 결과, 청소년의 문화다양성 인식은 전반적으로 긍정적이었으나 행동적 실천은 상대적으로 낮았다. 주요 영향 요인은 한국어 능력(β=0.275), 또래 지지(β=0.213), 교사 관계(β=0.174), 부모 태도(β=0.132)였으며, 외국인 친구 유무와 다문화 교육 경험도 유의미했다. 군집분석에서는 ‘포용성 고성장형’, ‘수용 감소형’, ‘보통형’ 세 유형이 도출되었고, 세 집단 간 모든 영역에서 유의한 차이가 확인되었다(η²=0.15~0.25). 본 연구는 청소년의 문화다양성 인식 증진을 위한 맞춤형 교육과 정책적 개입의 필요성을 제시하며, 다문화 사회 공존을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다.

영문 초록

This study aims to analyze the levels and influencing factors of multicultural awareness among adolescents and to identify the characteristics of different awareness types. A survey was conducted with 800 middle and high school students nationwide to assess multicultural awareness across cognitive, emotional, and behavioral domains, along with Korean language proficiency, social support, and multicultural experiences. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple regression, K-means cluster analysis, and ANOVA. The results showed that adolescents generally demonstrated positive multicultural awareness, although behavioral practice was relatively lower. Key predictors included Korean language proficiency (β=0.275), peer support (β=0.213), teacher relationships (β=0.174), and parental attitudes (β=0.132). Having foreign friends and multicultural education experience also had significant effects. Cluster analysis revealed three types: “Inclusive High-Growth,” “Acceptance-Decline,” and “Moderate.” Significant differences were observed across all domains among the three groups (η²=0.15-0.25). This study highlights the need for tailored educational and policy interventions to enhance multicultural awareness among adolescents and serves as a foundational resource for fostering social inclusion in multicultural societies.
