국문 초록

본 연구는 최근 무전공(자유전공)을 중심으로 대학교육의 혁신이 강조되는 흐름 속에서 대학 융복합 교양교육의 운영 방식과 실행 방향을 탐색하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이는 대학 교양교육에 있어 시대적인 추세와 동향을 살펴보고 앞으로의 방향성을 제안한다는 점에서 의미가 있다. 본 연구는 2024년 10~11월경에 융복합교육 관련 연구와 자료 등을 조사하였고 이를 통해 융복합 교양교육의 유형으로 다학문, 간학문, 초학문 접근 등이 있음을 확인하였다. 또한 융복합에 적합한 내용이나 이슈 선정, 교수자의 융복합적 교육·협업 역량 함양, 수업 난이도, 흥미로운 소재, 교수·학습 방법론 및 평가 방식 등에서 정교한 설계와 심층적인 고려가 필요함을 논의하였다. 이외에도 학교 차원의 제도적·행정적 지원, AI 활용 수업 설계 및 운영 등의 필요성을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 불확실성과 복잡성이 가득한 시대에 융복합 교양교육이 창의적이고 실천적인 문제해결역량을 함양하는 필수적인 전략임을 강조하고 향후 대학교육의 건설적인 방향을 제시하는 데 기여할 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the operational models and implementation strategies of convergence general education in the context of recent innovations in higher education, particularly those centered around undeclared majors. It is meaningful in that it examines current trends and developments in university general education and proposes future directions. Through an analysis of relevant research and materials conducted in October and November 2024, the study identifies multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary approaches as key models of convergence-based general education. It further highlights the need for careful selection of suitable themes and issues, the development of instructors’ convergence teaching and collaboration competencies, appropriate course difficulty, engaging content, effective teaching methodologies, and assessment strategies. In addition, it highlighted the need for institutional and administrative support at the university level, as well as the design and implementation of AI-integrated instruction. In an era marked by uncertainty and complexity, this research underscores the essential role of convergence general education in fostering creative and practical problem-solving abilities, and suggests constructive directions for the future of higher education.
