중국 유학생이 인식한 또래관계와 대학교육서비스품질이 자기주도학습능력에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구는 한국 대학에 재학 중인 중국 유학생을 대상으로, 또래관계와 대학교육서비스 품질이 자기주도학습능력에 미치는 영향 정도를 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 수도권, 충청권, 경상권, 전라권에 위치한 각 지역별 2개 대학씩 총 8개 대학을 선정하였고, 대학별 약 40~60명씩 총 354명의 중국 유학생을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 또래관계, 대학교육서비스 품질, 자기주도학습능력의 모든 하위 변인이 전반적으로 양호한 수준을 보였다. 또한, 학년, 학습 자기성취감, 재학 대학 등 개인적 특성에 따라 유의한 차이를 나타냈다. 변인 간의 상관관계는 또래거부를 제외한 모든 하위 변인 간에는 유의미한 상관 관계가 있었다. 특히 또래수용, 우정관계, 교수집단과 행정서비스 요인이 자기주도학습능력에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 주요 요인으로 확인되었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로, 대학은 중국 유학생을 위한 또래관계 형성 프로그램과 교수자의 맞춤형 지도 프로그램을 개발·운영함으로써, 유학생들이 한국 사회 및 교육환경에 안정적으로 적응할 수 있도록 도와줄 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to examine the extent to which peer relationships and the quality of university educational services influence self-directed learning ability among Chinese international students enrolled in Korean universities. To this end, eight universities were selected, two universities each from the metropolitan area, Chungcheong, Gyeongsang, and Jeolla regions, and an online survey was conducted with a total of 354 Chinese international students, approximately 40~60 students per university. The results showed that all sub-variables of peer relationships, educational service quality, and self-directed learning ability were generally at favorable levels. Significant differences were also observed according to individual characteristics such as academic year, perceived academic achievement, and the university attended. Correlation analysis revealed significant associations among all sub-variables except for peer rejection. In particular, peer acceptance, friendship, instructional staff, and administrative services were identified as key positive predictors of self-directed learning ability. Based on these findings, it is recommended that universities develop and operate peer relationship-building programs and customized instructional guidance to help Chinese international students adapt more effectively to Korean society and the educational environment.
