국문 초록

본 연구는 대학 교양과목으로 개설된 합창 수업이 대학생의 사회·정서 역량(Social and Emotional Learning, SEL)을 측정하는 데 있어 활용 가능한 평가도구의 신뢰도를 검토하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구를 위해 C지역 S대학교에서 합창 수업을 수강한 대학생 104명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였으며, 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하여 신뢰도 분석(Cronbach’s α) 및 기술통계를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, SEL의 다섯 가지 하위영역인 자기 인식, 자기 조절, 사회적 인식, 관계 기술, 책임 있는 의사결정 모두에서 높은 수준의 내적 일관성이 확인되었으며, 이는 해당 도구가 예술 기반 수업 환경에서도 신뢰성 있게 작동함을 시사한다. 본 연구는 예술 활동을 활용한 대학 수업에서 SEL 측정 도구의 적용 가능성을 실증적으로 제시했다는 점에서 의의가 있으며, 향후 연구에서는 사전·사후 비교나 질적 자료를 포함한 다면적 접근을 통해 예술 기반 수업의 교육 효과를 보다 폭 넓게 탐색할 필요가 있음을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study examines the reliability of a measurement tool for assessing college students’ Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) competencies within the context of a choir class offered as a general education course. A total of 104 students enrolled in a choir course at S University in the C region participated in the survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS 25.0, focusing on reliability analysis (Cronbach’s α) and descriptive statistics. The results revealed high internal consistency across all five SEL subdomains—self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making—demonstrating that the instrument functions reliably in an arts-based instructional setting. These findings provide empirical support for the use of SEL assessment tools in college-level arts-integrated education and underscore the value of embedding SEL within higher education curricula. Future research is encouraged to employ more comprehensive approaches, such as pre-post comparisons and qualitative methods, to further investigate the multifaceted educational impacts of arts-based learning environments.
