영화 ‘그대를 사랑합니다’의 내용분석을 통한 노년기 삶의 질 및 죽음준비교육의 필요성

국문 초록

본 연구는 영화 ‘그대를 사랑합니다’에 등장하는 노인 4명을 통해 초고령사회를 살아가는 노인들의 생활상을 파악하여, 노년기 삶의 질 향상과 아름다운 마무리를 위한 죽음준비교육의 필요성을 강조하고자 하였다. 분석 방법은 주인공인 김만석, 장군봉, 송이뿐, 조순이 등 노인 4명의 대사 중에서, 노년기 생활상에 해당되는 내용을 발췌하여, 질적연구인 매트릭스(Matrix) 분석방법을 적용하여 시간순으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 등장 노인들은 빈곤, 질병, 고독 등 생활문제와 사별, 죽음(자살)이라는 노년기 삶의 과업, 학습 욕구, 부모부양 관련 문제 등을 겪고 있었다. 그러나 삶과 죽음에 대처하는 태도는 순응과 자살이라는 두 가지 양상으로 나타났다. 따라서 초고령사회를 살아가는 노인들에게 죽음준비교육에 대한 인지를 통한 참여의 중요성을 강조하고, 노인층의 죽음준비교육 참여 기회를 제공하기 위한 정책의 필요성을 제시하였다

영문 초록

This study aimed to understand the lives of the elderly living in a super-aging society through the four elderly people appearing in the movie “I Love You” and emphasize the necessity of death p3, reparation education for improving the quality of life in old age and for a beautifulending. The analysis method was to extract content corresponding to the lives of the elderly from the dialogues of the four elderly people, including the main characters Kim Man-seok, Jang Gun-bong, Song I-pun, and Jo Soon-i, and to analyze them chronologically using the matrix analysis method, a qualitative research method. The analysis results showed that the elderly people appearing in the movie were experiencing problems in their lives such as poverty, illness, and loneliness, as well as tasks of life in old age such as bereavement and death (suicide), the desire to learn, and issues related to supporting parents. However, their attitudes toward life and death were shown to be two types: compliance and suicide. Therefore, the importance of participation through awareness of death preparation education for the elderly living in a super-aging society was emphasized, and the necessity of policies to provide opportunities for the elderly to participate in death preparation education was suggested.
