장애아동 형제의 인식에 관한 연구

국문 초록

본 연구는 장애아동을 형제로 둔 비장애형제가 장애를 가진 형제에 대하여 어떻게 인식하고 있으며, 장애를 가진 형제와의 관계 및 장애를 가진 형제로 인해 겪는 여러 가지 경험을 이해하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 장애아동 형제의 경험에 대한 이해를 통해 장애아동 가족지원의 일환으로 장애아동 형제에게 요구되어 지는 지원 방향을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 D시에 거주하며 초등학교 고학년에 재학 중인 장애아동의 형제 4명이 집단면담에 참여하였다. 본 연구의 결과에서는 장애아동 형제가 바라보는 장애형제의 장애에 대한 이해, 장애형제에 대한 태도․관계․역할, 또래 속에서의 장애형제에 대한 태도, 그리고 장애형제와 관련된 미래에 대한 기대가 도출되었다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 결과를 중심으로 장애아동 가족지원 시 장애아동의 형제를 위한 지원 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

영문 초록

The study investigated how the siblings without disabilities thought about and related with their siblings with disabilities, and what the siblings without disabilities experienced due to their siblings' disabilities. The study also investigated the ways to support the siblings without disabilities as one of the family support ways through understanding their experiences. Four siblings without disabilities participated in the study. The sibling participants resided D city, and they were enrolled in the 5th and 6th grade in an elementary school. The results of the study reported the understanding of the siblings without disabilities about their siblings' disabilities, the attitude․relationship․roles toward their siblings with disabilities, the attitude of the siblings without disabilities toward their siblings with disabilities in the inclusive educational settings, and the expectations regarding their future in relevance with their siblings with disabilities. In conclusion, the study suggested the ways to support the siblings without disabilities based on the results of the study.
