유아 인성교육에 활용되는 그림책에 나타난 담론 분석

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 유아 인성교육에 활용되는 그림책을 중심으로 담론분석을 실시함으로써 인성교육의 내용 및 실천과 관련된 비판적 사유를 이끌어 내고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적을 위해 인성교육 프로그램에서 활용한 그림책 9권을 중심으로 Faircough의 담론분석을 활용하여 실시하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 질서를 위한 통제에 대한 담론이 나타났다. 둘째, 목적을 위한 협력에 대한 담론이 나타났다. 셋째, 공존에 대한 담론이 나타났으나 타인과 환경에 대한 대상화, 타자화 하는 모습이 드러났다. 넷째, 동질화된 주체에 대한 담론이 나타났으며 이는 고정화된 주체에 대한 담론으로 확대되는 모습이 나타났다. 이러한 담론에 따라 인성교육이 다원적인 가치를 존중할 수 있는 방향으로 선회를 할 필요가 있음을 논의하였으며, 인성교육을 위해 동화책을 사용하는 성인 역시 담론의 재생산자가 아닌 반응적인 청자로서 유아의 반응과 배움의 과정에 귀 기울일 필요가 있다.

영문 초록

The aim of this study, was to raise critical thinking about the contents and practice of personality education by analyzing discourse focusing on picture books which are used in children’s personality education. For this purpose, we used Faircough's critical discourse analysis focused on 8 children's books that were used in a personality education program. The results were as follows. First, the discourse reveals that the individual has to conform to and follow the control. Second, discourse about the passive role of individuals for macro goals was revealed. The value of cooperation is a priority rather than individual voluntary and free negotiation. Third, uniformity of subjectivity of elderly people and women appeared. Fourth, for the coexistence and co - operation, the discourse emphasizing the normalized and idealized standards was revealed, and separation and exclusion appeared if they did not meet these standards. Therefore, it is necessary to turn personality education in a direction that respects the pluralistic value. Thus, the adult who mediates the picture book needs to listen to the reaction and learning process of the child as a responsive audience.
