공감교육활동이 유아의 정서지능과 배려적 사고에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 공감교육활동이 유아의 정서지능과 배려적 사고에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것이다. 연구대상은 인천광역시 M 유치원의 만 5세 28명(실험집단)과 W 유치원 만 5세 28명(비교집단)이다. 실험집단은 9주 동안 공감교육활동을 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 20.0 프로그램을 이용하여 평균과 표준편차를 산출하였고, 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 공감교육활동을 실시한 후 실험집단과 비교집단 간에 유아의 정서지능 전체와 하위변인인 자기인식과 표현, 자기조절, 타인인식, 타인조절에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 공감교육활동을 실시한 후 실험집단과 비교집단 간에 유아의 배려적 사고 전체와 하위변인인 규범적 사고, 정서적 사고, 행동적 사고에서 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 하지만 가치부여적 사고와 감정이입적 사고에서는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 결과는 공감교육활동이 유아의 정서지능과 배려적 사고에 긍정적인 영향을 끼침을 시사한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to find out the effects of empathy education activities on children's emotional intelligence and caring thinking. To study the above research questions, 28 five-year-old children from M kindergarten were chosen as the experimental group, and 28 five-year-old children from W kindergarten were chosen as the comparison group in Incheon. The experimental group received empathy education activities for 9 weeks. The collected data were analyzed with the SPSS 20.0 program. The mean and standard deviation were calculated, and ANCOVA was conducted. The results of this study are summarized as follows: First, the experimental group showed a statistical significance in self-recognition and expression, self-control, others recognition, and others control, which are sub-components of emotional intelligence. Second, the experimental group showed a statistical significance in normative, affective, and behavioral thinking, which are sub-components of careful thinking. However, the experimental group did not showed a statistical significance in appreciative, and empathic thinking, which are sub-components of careful thinking. In conclusion, it is revealed that empathy education activities have positive effects on children's emotional intelligence and caring thinking.
