국문 초록

청나라 시대 서북지역의 중요한 도립 서원으로서, 농남서원의 역사적 발전과정은 중국 전통 교육기관이 근대화 과정에서 보여준 전형적인 전환 경로를보여준다. 본 논문은 농남서원을 사례로 하여, 문창서원의 창건부터 진주로의이전, 농남서원으로의 재건, 청말 신식 중학교로의 개혁을 거쳐 최종적으로현대 간수성 천수시 제1중학교로 발전하기까지의 과정을 체계적으로 정리한다. 본 논문은 각 역사적 단계에서 농남서원이 보여준 “시대와 함께 발전하는” 제도적 적응성과 “교육 본질로의 회귀”라는 기능적 고수에 주목하고, 지방 사회에서의 문화 교화, 인재 양성, 학술 전승 역할을 탐구하여 백 년간 지속될 수있었던 심층적 논리를 밝혀낸다. 농남서원의 “경세치용(經世致用)” 교육 이념, 제사 의례, 교과 내용, 제도 전환에 대한 종적 분석을 통해, 본 논문은 전통 서원이 근대화 과정에서 완전히 대체된 것이 아니라, 변화에 적응하면서 교육적가치의 지속적 확장과 문화적 기능의 재구성을 실현했다고 주장한다. 본 연구는 중국 서북지역 교육사와 서원 제도 연구를 풍부하게 할 뿐만 아니라, 현재의 “서원 부흥”과 교육 개혁에 역사적 거울과 현실적 시사점을 제공한다.

영문 초록

As an important provincial academy established during the Qing Dynasty in Northwest China, the historical evolution of Longnan Academy demonstrates the typical transformation path of traditional Chinese educational institutions in the modernization process. Taking Longnan Academy as a case study, this paper systematically examines its journey from the establishment of Wenchang Academy, its relocation to Qinzhou, reconstruction as Longnan Academy, to its reform into a modern secondary school at the end of the Qing Dynasty and its eventual evolution into the modern Tianshui No.1 Middle School in Gansu Province. The article focuses on its institutional adaptability of “keeping pace with the times” and its functional persistence of “returning to the essence of education” throughout various historical periods. It explores its roles in cultural enlightenment, talent cultivation, and academic inheritance in local society, revealing the underlying logic that enabled its century-long continuity. Through a longitudinal analysis of Longnan Academy's educational philosophy of “practical learning for practical use,” ritual ceremonies, curriculum content, and institutional transformation, this paper argues that traditional academies were not completely replaced in the modernization process, but rather achieved continuous extension of educational values and reconstruction of cultural functions through adaptation to change. This research not only enriches the study of educational history and academy systems in Northwest China, but also provides historical insights and practical enlightenment for the current “academy revival” and educational reform. 作为⻄北地区清代重要的道⽴书院，陇南书院的历史演进展现了中国传统教育 机构在现代化进程中的典型转型路径。本⽂以陇南书院为个案，系统梳理其自⽂昌 书院创建、迁徙⾄秦州、重建为陇南书院，直⾄清末改制为新式中学并最终演化为 现代甘肃省天水市第一中学的过程。⽂章聚焦其在各历史阶段中“与时俱进”的制度 适应性与“回归教育本质”的功能坚守，探讨其在地⽅社会中的⽂化教化、人才培养 与学术传承作用，揭⽰其得以延续百年的深层逻辑。通过对陇南书院“经世致用”教 育理念、祭祀仪式、课程内容和制度转型的纵向剖析，本⽂指出，传统书院并非 在近代化过程中被完全替代，而是在适应变革中实现了教育价值的持续延伸与⽂化 功能的再造。本⽂的研究不仅丰富了中国⻄北地区教育史与书院制度研究，也为当 前“书院复兴”与教育改革提供了历史镜鉴与现实启⽰。
