영아와 유아의 언어교육 연구동향 비교분석 -2002년∼2014년 학술지를 중심으로-

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 영아와 유아의 언어교육 관련 연구동향을 비교분석하여 관련 연구에 기초자료를 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 2002년부터 2014년까지 이루어진 영유아언어교육 관련 학술지 총 111편(영아 27편, 유아 84편)을 선정하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 연도별 동향을 살펴보면, 영아와 유아언어연구 모두 지속적으로 수행되었다. 둘째, 연구주제별 동향은 영아와 유아 모두 언어발달과 언어환경에 관한 주제가 가장 많았다. 셋째, 연구대상별 동향은 모두 영아(유아) 대상, 영아(유아)와 타인, 성인대상, 물적 대상 순으로 나타났다. 넷째, 연구방법별 동향에서 연구유형별로는 영아는 관찰연구, 유아는 실험연구가, 자료수집방법별로는 영아는 관찰법, 유아는 검사법이, 자료분석방법에서는 공통적으로 차이검증이 가장 많았다. 본 연구의 시사점은 영아기와 유아기 언어교육의 동향을 통합적으로 비교하여 연구주제, 연구대상과 연구방법의 편중된 점을 제시함으로써 균형적인 영유아언어교육 연구의 기초자료를 제공하였다는 점이다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to make a comparative analysis of research trends in toddler and early childhood language education. 111 academic journal articles were selected, and the selected articles were analyzed. The findings of the study were as follows: First, as for a research trend by year, both kinds of studies were continuously conducted. Second, regarding a trend in research theme, language development and verbal environments were the most dominant themes in both studies. Third, concerning a trend in subjects, toddlers and preschoolers were the most common subjects in both studies, followed by a combination of toddlers/preschoolers and others, adults, and materials. Fourth, as to a trend in research methods, observational research was most prevailing in the studies of toddlers, and experimental research was most dominant in the studies of preschoolers. As for the methods of data collection, observational method was most prevailing in the studies of toddlers, and tests were most widely carried out in the studies of preschoolers. This study is of significance in that it found particular themes, subjects and methods were overly dealt with by making an integrated comparison of research trends in toddler and early childhood language education to pave the way for balanced research into toddler and early childhood language education.
