국문 초록

본 연구는 어린이집 학부모가 교사와의 관계에서 느끼는 어려움과 요구를 학부모들의 이야기를 통해 들어봄으로써 부모들을 이해하는 폭을 넓히고 그들의 요구에 부응하는 질 높은 부모-교사 관계를 유지하는 데 기초자료로 활용하고자 하는 목적으로 실시하였다. 본 연구는 A광역시에 거주하는 어린이집 학부모 13인을 대상으로 실시하였고 2012년 8월 6일부터 2012년 10월 24일까지 약 12주 동안 심층 개별 면담, 집단 면담, e-mail과 전화 면담, 연구자 저널 등의 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 생성된 자료를 토대로 분석한 결과, 첫째, 교사와의 관계에서 느끼는 어린이집 학부모의 어려움은 우이독경(牛耳讀經)-아무리 말을 하여도 헛수고, 벙어리 냉가슴 앓기-하고 싶은 말 참아내기, 반신반의(半信半疑)-무너지는 신뢰감, 쌓여가는 불신감, 울며 겨자 먹기-마음에 안 들어도 계속 보낼 수밖에 없는 현실로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사와의 관계에서 느끼는 학부모들의 요구는 교사의 외견적 자기관리, 교사의 정확한 유아 파악과 민감성, 교사의 부모를 향한 마음 읽음과 배려, 교사의 전문적인 상담능력 함양으로 나타났다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to understand parents of child-care center by hearing about their difficulties and demands corning their relationships with teachers and to use the results of the study as basic information to improve the relationship between teachers and parents. In total 13 parents of child-care center living in A City participated in the research for 12 weeks from August to October 2012. In-depth personal interviews, group interviews, email and telephone interviews were carried and the researcher's diary was analyzed. The results of this study showed that first, parents felt difficulty such as 'pouring water on a duck's back' because teachers did not understand what they said; 'suffering in silence' because parents had to suppress their desire to complain; ‘half in doubt’ because of collapsing confidence and accumulating distrust; and ‘biting the bullet' because they had no choice but to send their children to those nurseries. Second, parents' demands of the teachers were: teachers' self-management of appearance, teachers’ accurate understanding of and sensitivity to children, teachers’ understanding and care for parents. and building professional counseling capacity of teachers.
