유아 수학교육에 대한 어린이집 교사의 인식 및 요구조사

국문 초록

본 연구는 어린이집에서 실시되고 있는 수학교육의 목적, 내용, 방법, 평가, 그리고 유아수학교육에 대한 요구를 파악하여 유아수학교육의 바람직한 방향 정립에 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 유아수학교육 목적으로는 일상생활 속에서 수학적 경험을 즐기고 수학의 가치를 인식하는데 목적을 두고, 유아수학교육의 내용으로 수와 연산의 기초개념 형성하기를 매우 중요하게 생각하고 있었다. 그리고 유아수학교육의 방법으로는 유아교육전문잡지를 많이 참고하였으며, 수학교육을 20분 이내 자유선택활동시간에 소집단으로 놀이를 통한 방법을 선호하였다. 또한 유아수학교육의 평가는 일화기록법으로 일상생활의 문제해결 과정에서 수학의 활용정도를 파악하되 평가기준은 사용한 자료의 적절성 및 활용도에 대한 평가를 한다고 하였다. 마지막으로 유아수학교육에 대한 바램으로는 자유선택활동시간에 소집단으로 활동하는 유아수학 교수-학습 프로그램 개발을 요구하였다.

영문 초록

This study of Daycare center teachers looked at the purpose of math education, content, methods, assessment, and children’s mathematics education to identify the needs of the teachers required for formulation of a desirable direction, and preschool math materials to provide children with the math basics. In mathematics education we want children to enjoy the experience of daily life in mathematics and recognize the value of mathematics. Children’s mathematics education based on the concept of operations and contents was seriously considered. In many children’s education professional magazines children’s mathematics education is portrayed as taking place with 20 minute segments. Educators see free choice activity time as preferred over collective play. In addition, the evaluation of preschool math educational anecdotes was conducted, examining the process of solving problems of everyday life, utilizing criteria to determine the degree of adequacy and utilization of the material being evaluated for assessment. Finally, children’s mathematics education for a free activity time was evaluated including collective activities of a preschool math professor-learning program that addressed developmental needs.
