패러디 그림책의 유형 분석

국문 초록

현대 포스트모던 시대에 패러디 그림책의 종류가 점차 늘어나고 있고, 유아교육 현장에서도 패러디 그림책의 사용이 늘고 있다. 이에 따라, 그림책의 적절한 선정 및 평가를 위한, 패러디 그림책에 대한 분석이 요구된다. 이에 본 연구는 유아 대상 패러디 그림책들을 심층적으로 분석하여 그것의 유형과 유형별 특성을 밝히고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 옛이야기를 패러디한 그림책 25권을 선정하였고 분석을 통해 다음의 결과를 도출하였다. 패러디 그림책은 크게 원작과 같은 플롯으로 전개되는 유형과 원작과 다른 플롯으로 전개되는 유형으로 나눌 수 있다. 이 중, 원작과 같은 플롯의 그림책 유형은 인물이나 사건, 또는 시점에 변화를 주는 하위 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 그리고 원작과 다른 플롯으로 전개되는 유형은 원작 이후의 이야기로 이어지는 후속담 유형과 여러 개의 옛이야기가 짜깁기 된 결합 유형, 그리고 하나의 이야기 안에 다른 이야기가 펼쳐지는 복합 유형의 세 가지 하위 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 또한, 본 연구결과에 기초하여 교육적 시사점을 논의하였으며 후속 연구에 대해 제언하였다.

영문 초록

Parody picturebooks have become more diverse in the current postmodern era and also are used more frequently with young children. Accordingly, the analysis of parody picturebooks is needed for appropriate selection and evaluation of them. Motivated by this need, this research aims to conduct an in-depth analysis of parody picturebooks for revealing their types and the characteristics of each type. For this research, 25 picturebooks parodying fairy tales were selected and the following findings are made from the present investigation. The analyzed parody picturebooks are shown to be classified largely into two types: one type developing plots after the plots of original works and the other type not following the original plots but developing new plots. The former type is shown to be further divided into subtypes that vary characters, events and viewpoints. On the other hand, the latter type can be decomposed into the post-story subtype that develops stories after the ending of the original stories, the combinative subtype that combines stories of different fairy tales, and the complex subtype that develops another story within a story. Based on the findings from this research, some discussions from an educational perspective are done and also subsequent research directions are suggested.
