일본의 학습지도요령으로 바라본 디지털 교육의 현황 - 소학교 사회 교과의 ICT 활용 교육을 중심으로

국문 초록

이 연구는 일본의 학습지도요령으로 바라본 디지털 교육의 현황을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 연구에서는 ICT 활용의 교육 정책과 교육개혁의 AI 전략, 그리고 ICT 교육의 목적을 검토하였다. 학습지도요령에 일본의 ICT 활용 교육이 어떻게 반영되고 있는지를 소학교 4학년부터 6학년 사회과 교과의 내용을 중심으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 ICT 환경을 정비하여 교원과 학생들의 역량이 함양하고 이를 발휘할 수 있도록 고속 대용량의 통신 네트워크 정비 및 1인 1대 단말 환경의 활용하는 등 생성 AI의 활용 가능성을 추구하여 학습자 중심의 수업 실현을 목표로 하고 있다. 그러나 원래 상정하였던 성과를 내지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 Society 5.0 시대의 교육 현장에서는 최적 효율의 환경을 제공하여 ICT, AI 기술, 빅데이터 등의 첨단 기술을 이용한 교육 프로그램이 진행되고 있지만, ICT 교육환경의 정비가 완성되지 못하였다는 것에 원인이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 학습지도요령에서는 지식 및 기능 습득에는 교사가 이해하기 쉽게 가르치는 것이 중요하고, 학생들의 사고력, 판단력, 표현력 등을 육성하기 위해서는 지금까지 습득한 지식·기능을 사용하고 정보를 수집, 사고·판단하는 학습 활동 및 생각을 정리해 발표하는 학습 활동에 학습자용 컴퓨터를 이용하는 것이 효과적이라고 제시하였다. 이러한 내용들이 초등 사회과 교과서에 반영되고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the current condition of digital education through a Japanese course of study. The research reviews educational policies on the use of ICT, the AI strategy in education reform, and the objectives of ICT education. The analysis focuses on how ICT education is reflected in Japanese courses, particularly in the contents of social studies for grades 4 to 6 in elementary schools. The results show that, while the aim is to create learner-centered instruction by improving ICT environments, enhancing the capabilities of teachers and students, and utilizing high-speed, high-capacity communication networks and 1:1 device environments, the anticipated outcomes have not been fully realized. Specifically, in the era of Society 5.0, although educational programs utilizing advanced technologies such as ICT, AI, and big data are being implemented in the educational field, the failure to fully establish the necessary ICT infrastructure is identified as a major factor behind this shortcoming. Furthermore, the course of study emphasizes that it is important for teachers to implement methods that help students: makes knowledge and skills easy to understand, the use of learner computers in activities that collect information, think, make judgments, and organize thoughts for presentations and express abilities.
