국문 초록

본 연구는 초등도덕수업에 인공지능(AI)을 활용한 수업설계에 대한 탐색적 연구로서, AI가 도덕교육의 효과를 높이고 수업에 활용될 수 있는지 그 가능성을 알아보았다. 본 연구에서는 세 가지 수업 모형—‘AI 기반 문제 상황 탐구 모형’, ‘AI 동기부여 실천 모형’, ‘AI 지원 성찰 강화 모형’ —을 제시한다. 첫째, AI 기반 문제 상황 탐구 모형은 AI가 현실적 문제를 제시하고 시뮬레이션으로 학생들의 비판적 사고를 키운다. 둘째, AI 동기부여 실천 모형은 학습자의 동기를 유발하고 이를 실천으로 이어지게 하는 데 초점을 맞춘다. 셋째, AI 동기부여 실천 모형은 학생의 가치와 행동에 대한 성찰을 체계적으로 강화한다. 이 모형들은 개인화된 학습 경험, 안전한 가상 환경, 실시간 피드백을 제공하며, 기존 도덕교육의 이론 중심 한계를 극복하고 실천적 성과를 중시한다. 그러나 실증 연구와 검증의 부족, 기술적 제약, 데이터 편향과 프라이버시 침해 같은 윤리적 위험, 교사 역량 강화의 필요성이 주요 도전 과제로 지적된다. AI의 잠재력을 극대화하려면 교사의 중재 역할과 전문성 개발이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 AI가 단순한 도구를 넘어 도덕교육의 목표와 조화를 이루는 협력자로 기능하며, 교사와 초등학생이 기술 시대의 기회와 도전에 대응할 수 있도록 도움을 줄 수 있음을 강조한다.

영문 초록

This study is an exploratory investigation into the instructional design of elementary moral education using artificial intelligence (AI), examining the potential of AI to enhance the effectiveness of moral education and its applicability in classroom settings. The study proposes three instructional models: the “AI-Based Problem Situation Exploration Model”, the “AI Motivation-Driven Practice Model”, and the “AI-Supported Reflective Enhancement Model”. First, the AI-Based Problem Situation Exploration Model utilizes AI to present realistic problems and simulations, fostering students’ critical thinking skills. Second, the Emotional Empathy Role-Play Model leverages AI to analyze emotional data, enhancing empathy through role-playing activities that allow students to experience others’ perspectives. Third, the AI Motivation-Driven Practice Model employs AI to spark students’ interest and connect motivation to practical activities, encouraging various application of moral values in real-life contexts. These models offer personalized learning experiences, safe virtual environments, and real-time feedback, which together overcome the theory-centric limitations of traditional moral education and emphasize practical outcomes. However, challenges such as the lack of empirical research and validation, technical limitations, ethical risks including data bias and privacy concerns, and the need for enhanced teacher competency are identified as key issues. To maximize the AI’s potential, the mediating role of teachers and their continued professional development are deemed essential. This study underscores that AI can function not merely as a tool but as a collaborator with teachers harmonizing with the goals of moral education, supporting teachers and elementary students in navigating the opportunities and challenges of the technological era.
