서울지역 역사인물 관광문화컨텐츠 활성화 방안에 관한 연구 - 토정 이지함의 사례를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 조선 중기 정치가이자 실학자 토정 이지함을 역사적 가치를 발굴할 인물로 설정하고 서울지역에 있어 토정 이지함의 관광문화컨텐츠 활성화 방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구목적 달성을 위해 토정 이지함의 생애와 업적을 검토하고 현재 서울시, 충청남도 보령시, 충청남도 아산시에서 이루어지고 있는 토정 이지함의 관광문화컨텐츠 현황에 대해 분석하였다. 아울러 국내외에서 이루어진 역사인물 관광문화컨텐츠 우수 선행 사례 연구를 병행하였다. 이러한 3가지 절차를 통해 현재 이루어지고 있는 토정 이지함의 관광문화컨텐츠 개발의 문제점을 분석하는 한편 최종적으로 토정 이지함 서울지역 관광문화컨텐츠 활성화 방안을 도출하고자 하였다. 그 결과 토정 이지함 문화자산구축, 관광문화컨텐츠 다양화, 역사인물 인지도 강화를 주요 방안으로 제시하였으며, 문화자산구축의 세부방안으로 토정 이지함 기념관 건립과 토정 이지함 테마거리 조성에 관해 기술하였다. 관광문화컨텐츠 다양화 방안으로는 토정 이지함 문화축제 개최와 인물 역사성을 고취하는 체험 및 교육프로그램 운영, 토정 이지함 테마 여행 코스를 새로 개발하는 안을 제시하였으며, 인물 인지도 강화를 위해 ICT((Information & Communication Technology) 중심 홍보컨텐츠를 개발하고 체계적인 홍보캠페인을 전개할 필요성에 관해 기술하였다. 본 연구에서 도출된 연구결과는 향후 토정 이지함 기념사업 발굴 및 활성화 방안의 기초자료로 활용할 수 있으며 나아가 역사성에 근거한 관광문화컨텐츠 개발의 자료로도 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to recognize Tojeong Lee Jiham as a historical figure of value and to propose measures for activating tourism-cultural content related to him in Seoul area. To achieve the research objectives, the study reviews Lee Jiham’s life and achievements, analyzes current tourism‑cultural content related to him in Seoul, Boryeong and Asan, and exemplary case studies of tourism‑cultural programs centered on historical figures were examined, both within Korea and internationally. Through these three sequential analytical steps, the study identifies problems in the current development of tourism‑cultural content centered on Tojeong Lee Jiham and ultimately proposes ways to activate such content in Seoul. As a result, the study presents three main initiatives building cultural assets—including the establishment of a Tojeong Lee Jiham memorial museum and the creation of a theme street dedicated to him, diversifying tourism‑cultural content—such as hosting a Tojeong Lee Jiham cultural festival, implementing experiential and educational programs that highlight his historical value, and developing new themed travel routes focused on him and lastly enhancing public awareness of the figure—by creating ICT‑based promotional content and conducting systematic promotional campaigns. The findings of this study can serve as foundational data for future memorial projects related on Tojeong Lee Jiham, and more broadly, as material for the development of historically grounded tourism‑cultural content schemes.
