아버지 역할에 관한 연구 동향 분석

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 아버지 역할에 관한 연구 동향 분석을 통해 아버지 대상 연구의 경향성을 파악하고 아버지 역할 연구의 방향을 제시하는 데 에 있다. RISS(학술연구정보서비스)에서 1980년부터 2024년까지 국내 학술지에 게재된 172편의 논문을 기준으로 분석하였다. 그 결과 첫째, 아버지 역할에 관한 연구는 1983년 학술지에 게재되기 시작하여 2015년에서 2019년에 43편으로 가장 많이 연구하였고, 꾸준히 증가하는 추세로 나타났다. 둘째, 양적연구가 140편으로 증가하는 비율이 뚜렷하였다. 셋째, 아버지가 연구대상으로 참여하는 경우가 109편으로 가장 많았다. 넷째, 2010년부터 아버지 역할은 독립변인이 증가하는 경향으로 나타났고, 가장 많이 수행된 주제는 아버지 정서와 양육 참여이다. 다섯째, 자녀연령에 따른 아버지 역할 연구는 영유아자녀 아버지가 가장 많았고, 청소년 자녀의 아버지 연구는 증가하는 추세였다. 172편의 논문에서 다룬 주제를 분류한 결과 자녀의 발달 단계에 따라 명확하게 구분된 아버지 역할을 발견하지 못하였다. 따라서 자녀의 발달 과정에 부합하는 아버지 역할과 이에 상응하는 적절한 정서적 역할에 관한 심층적 연구가 필요하다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to identify the trends in fatherhood research through an analysis of research trends on fatherhood and to suggest directions for fatherhood research. The analysis was based on 172 papers published in domestic journals from 1980 to 2024 by the Research Information Service (RISS). As a result, firstly, research on fatherhood began to be published in journals in 1983, with 43 papers published in 2015-2019, the largest number of studies, and the number of studies has been steadily increasing. Second, the proportion of quantitative studies increased to 140. Third, the largest number of studies were conducted with fathers as research subjects, with 109 studies. Fourth, since 2010, the role of fathers has been shown to be increasing as an independent variable, and the most frequently conducted topics are fatherly emotions and participation in parenting. Fifth, the study of fatherhood according to the age of the child showed that fathers of infants and toddlers were the most numerous, while the study of fathers of teenagers was on the rise. A classification of the topics in 172 papers did not reveal a clear distinction between fatherhood roles according to the developmental stage of the child. Therefore, in-depth research is needed on fatherhood roles that are in line with the developmental process of the child and the corresponding emotional roles.
