『훈민정음』 <제자해> 서두의 철학적 사유에 대한 고찰

국문 초록

이 연구는 <제자해>에 서두에 반영된 철학적 사유의 전거(典據)를 분석·검토하고, 이를 바탕으로 서두의 내용을 논리적으로 재구함으로써 <제자해> 서두의 의미를 정교하게 이해하는 데 기초적 논의를 제공하고자 하였다. 그 결과 첫째, <제자해> 서두에 표현된 역학 및 성리학 관련 내용들의 전거(典據)가 되는 대표 문헌은 ≪주역≫ <계사전>, 주돈이의 ≪태극도설≫, 소옹의 발언을 포함한 ≪황극경세서≫ 등이다. 둘째, 사회·문화적 배경을 고려하여 명(明)이 존숭하는 사상계 동향을 수용하고, 송학(宋學) 사상의 발로인 ≪주역≫과 송학을 집대성한 『성리대전』의 의미를 <제자해>의 서두에 집약적으로 표현하는 전략을 사용한 것임을 밝혔다. 셋째, “正音二十八字 各象其形而制之” 상형의 제자 원리를 문자학적 제자 원리로 이해하기에 앞서 훈민정음 창제의 철학적 인식과 사유를 통해 상형의 제자 원리를 먼저 파악해야 함을 밝혔다. 넷째, 훈민정음의 제자 원리인 ‘상형’의 발상은 역학에서 그 근거를 찾을 수 있었다. 훈민정음의 ‘상형’ 원리는 ≪주역≫에서 중요시하는 상(象)과 깊은 관련이 있음을 밝혔다. 이 연구를 통해 <서두>에 집약된 훈민정음이 추구하고자 했던 철학적 기조를 살필 수 있으며, <제자해> 서두의 의미를 보다 깊고 정확하게 이해하게 될 것이며, 나아가 『훈민정음』 해례본과 문자 훈민정음을 깊이 있게 이해하는 데 중요한 단초가 될 것이다.

영문 초록

This study analyzes the biography(典據) of philosophical ideas described in the introduction of and logically analyzes the semantic relationship of the introduction. This provides a basic discussion for accurately understanding the meaning of the introduction of . As a result, first, the representative texts that become the biography(典據) are ≪Zhouyi (周易)≫ and 『Seongni Daejeon(性理大全)』. Second, considering the social and cultural background, we accept the trends of the Ming Dynasty's ideological world, and introduce ≪Zhouyi(周易)≫ and Song Neo-Confucianism(宋學), the originators of Song Neo-Confucianism(宋學) The meaning of 『Seongni Daejeon(性理大全)』, which is a compilation of A strategy of intensive expression was used in the introduction of . Third, before understanding the disciple principle ‘Sanghyeong(象形)’, we must first understand the disciple principle of ‘Sanghyeong(象形)’ through the philosophical ideas of the creation of Hunminjeongeum. Fourth, the disciple principle of Hunminjeongeum ‘Sanghyeong(象形)’ is closely related to “images in Zhouyi,” which is important in ≪Zhouyi (周易)≫. Through this study, it is possible to examine the philosophical tone that Hunminjeongeum sought to pursue as summarized in the introduction of . and We will gain a deep and accurate understanding of the meaning of the introduction to .
