‘생성형 AI’의 창의적 활용을 통한 글쓰기 교육과정 개발

국문 초록

본 연구는 ‘생성형 AI(이하 AI)’가 지닌 학습 도구로서의 잠재력에 주목하며, 이를 대학 글쓰기 교육과 접목하기 위한 구체적인 방안을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. AI를 단순히 문장 수정이나 형식적 모방을 위한 도구로 사용하는 데 그치지 않고, 연구 과정 전반에서 창의적이고 분석적인 도구로 활용하는 방법을 제안한다. 특히 AI와 상호작용하는 ‘과정 자체’를 ‘학습목표’이자 ‘학습내용’으로 설정하였다. 이를 위해 학습자가 보다 창의적으로 AI를 활용할 수 있도록 다양한 방법을 제시하고, 그 과정에서 도출된 결과물을 비판적으로 수용할 수 있는 교육과정을 설계하였다. 본 교육과정은 ‘AI를 활용한 글쓰기에 관한 인식’을 주제로 충청권의 K 대학 학생들을 대상으로 실시한 설문조사와 대학 글쓰기 강의를 담당하는 교수들을 대상으로 진행한 FGI(Focus Group Interview) 결과를 토대로 구성되었다. 본 교육과정의 핵심은 수업의 전(全) 과정에서 학생들이 AI를 어떻게 활용했는지, 어떤 결과를 얻었는지, 그 과정에서 무엇을 배웠는지 등을 스스로 평가하고 기록할 수 있도록 설계된 ‘자기주도학습(Self- directed learning)’과 ‘성찰학습(Reflective learning)’에 있다. 이는 AI와의 지속적인 상호작용을 강조하며, ‘지식 전달’이라는 전통적인 교수법에서 벗어나 ‘과정 중심’이라는 새로운 교육 패러다임을 실현하려는 시도이다. 이를 통해 학습자들은 AI의 기능과 자신의 역할을 성찰하고, AI가 제시한 결과의 신뢰성과 적절성을 스스로 평가함으로써 비판적 사고 능력을 함양할 수 있을 것이다. 나아가 본 연구는 AI를 활용하는 학습자뿐 아니라, 실제 교육 현장에서 적용 가능한 구체적인 방안을 제시함으로써 교수자들에게도 유용한 자료가 될 수 있으리라 기대한다.

영문 초록

This study focuses on the potential of generative AI (hereinafter referred to as AI) as a learning tool, aiming to explore concrete ways to integrate it into university writing education. The goal is not to use AI merely for sentence correction or formal imitation, but to explore how it can be employed creatively and analytically throughout the research process. The ‘process itself’ of interacting with AI is proposed as both a ‘learning objective’ and ‘learning content.’ To this end, the study suggests various ways to help students use AI more creatively and designs a curriculum that allows them to critically engage with the results produced in the process. The curriculum is based on the results of a survey on ‘attitudes towards writing with AI’ conducted among students at K University in the Chungcheong region and Focus Group Interviews (FGI) with university writing instructors. The core of this curriculum is ‘self-directed learning’ and ‘reflective learning,’ which are designed to allow students to evaluate and record how they have used AI throughout the course, what results they have obtained, and what they have learned in the process. This approach emphasizes continuous interaction with AI and seeks to move away from traditional teaching methods focused on ‘knowledge delivery,’ aiming instead to realize a new educational paradigm centered on ‘the process.’ Through this, students will reflect on both AI's functionality and their own role, critically evaluate the reliability and appropriateness of the results presented by AI, and develop critical thinking skills. Furthermore, this study is expected to provide valuable resources not only for learners using AI but also for instructors by offering concrete strategies that can be applied in real educational settings.
