여가 자조모임이 장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스와 가족의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

국문 초록

본 연구의 목적은 여가 자조모임이 장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스와 가족의 삶의 질에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 초등학교에 재학 중인 장애자녀를 둔 장애아동 어머니 6명을 대상으로 하여 총 12회기의 여가 자조모임 프로그램으로 실시하였다. 수집된 양육스트레스와 가족의 삶의 질에 관한 자료는 비모수적 방법인 Wilcoxon의 부호순위 검정과 질적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과는 여가 자조모임을 통해 장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스가 감소되었고, 특히 부모의 고통 영역에는 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 또한, 여가 자조모임은 장애아동 어머니의 가족의 삶의 질을 향상시켰고, 그 중에서 정서 상태 영역에서 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 그리고 질적으로 자료를 분석한 결과 양육스트레스와 가족의 삶의 질 모두가 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 여가 자조모임은 장애아동 어머니의 양육스트레스를 감소시키고, 가족의 삶의 질을 향상시키는데 효과적인 지원방법임을 알 수 있었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate how leisure self-help group program affects on parenting stress and quality of life of mothers of children with disabilities. To the end, six subjects who have an elementary school student with disabilities were participated in this program. Leisure self-help group program was implemented total 12 times, once a week for two hours. To verify the effect of the program, parenting stress scale and quality of family life scale were employed for pre-test and post-test. As a result, following results could be obtained. First, parenting stress of mothers of children with disabilities was reduced due to leisure self-help group program. There were significant differences in parents' trouble domain, but there was no difference in dysfunctional parent-children relation and children with picky mind domain. Futhermore parenting stress of mothers became positive. Second, leisure self-help group program increased quality of family life. Although significant difference could be found only in the state of emotion domain, the quality of family life turned positive in general. Therefore it can be concluded that leisure self-help group program can be effective supporting method for reducing the parenting stress of mothers of children with disabilities and improving quality of family life.
