특수학교 안전사고로 인한 특수교사의 상해 실태 조사

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 특수학교에 근무하는 교사들을 대상으로 교사가 겪은 상해와 사고처리 방법 실태 및 사고 예방 방안을 조사하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 부산광역시 소재 공립 특수학교 6개교의 교사 중 설문에 응답한 특수교사 239명을 연구대상으로 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 특수학교 교사의 44.8%가 교사상해를 경험하였으며, 이 중 61.5%의 교사가 예방지식은 있으나 실제 상황에의 대처능력이 결여되었거나 예방지식이 없어 적절한 대처를 하지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사상해 발생 시 가해학생에 대한 선도 규정이 명확하지 않았으며, 상담이나 학부모 및 학생의 사과로 처리하였고, 상해 처리를 교사의 자력 구제에 의존하고 있었다. 셋째, 교사상해 예방을 위한 요구로는 학급당 인원축소를 가장 많이 요구하며, 안전교육의 필요성에 대한 인식은 높은 반면에 실시는 다소 낮게 나타났다. 논의 및 제언에서는 문제행동 중재 및 환경 개선을 통한 안전한 교육환경 조성, 교권침해 발생 및 특수교육 질 저하 우려, 책임주체 및 선도규정 마련, 그리고 학교안전교육 실시 등을 제시하였다.

영문 초록

This research is to survey the actual conditions of injury experience, solutions, and prevention due to school safety accidents at special school in these three years(2008～2010). 239 teachers working in public special schools (for a total of six) in B city participated in this study. The result are as follows: First, 44.8% teachers experienced safety accidents in their schools, especially, 45.6% teachers responded that the aggressive behavior of students results in injuries. 61.5% teachers couldn't deal with them properly due to lack in their gumption despite their having knowledge to prevent, or lack in their prevention knowledge. Second, in case of occurring teacher injury due to aggression or problem behavior of students in school, leading regulations of students didn't clearly so that 'consultation' or 'apologized of parents and students' are used as measures, and teachers who getting injured get treatment for themselves with their own money. Third, special school teachers hope a reduction in class personnel and awareness of the need of safety education related with injury is very high, but the implementation is low relatively compared to the recognition. The results indicates that the promotion of safety educational environment, concerning for teacher's authority abuse, establishing the leading regulation, and implementation of school safety education.
