국문 초록

Globally, higher education, particularly in engineering, faces the persistent challenge of bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world applications. Within this context, China's application-oriented universities, supported by the world's largest higher education system, are conducting a large-scale educational experiment in practical teaching. This paper systematically examines the evolving model of practical teaching in these institutions, highlighting its structured, multi-layered, and competency-driven characteristics. It outlines a progressive framework that guides students from foundational understanding to comprehensive application and technological innovation through activities like basic experiments, integrated training, and research competitions. The model deeply integrates industry needs through robust university-enterprise collaboration and incorporates diverse forms, including the first and second classroom, as well as on- and off-campus practices. However, the system confronts significant challenges, including a misalignment with industry demands, superficial industry-academia cooperation, and a shortage of resources such as practice bases and "dual-qualified" teachers. In response, the academic community has proposed reform pathways focusing on systemic openness, deeper industry integration, and curriculum precision. By analyzing China's experiences, this study aims to provide valuable insights and a forward-looking perspective for the international community in cultivating talent for the Industry 4.0 era.

영문 초록

전 세계 고등교육, 특히 공학 분야의 핵심 과제는 이론과 실제의 괴리를 해소하는 것이다. 이러한 시대적 요구에 부응하여, 세계 최대 규모의 고등교육 시스템을 기반으로 둔 중국의 응용형 대학들은 실용적 인재 양성을 위한 교육 모델의 대규모 혁신을 추진 중에 있다. 본고는 해당 대학들에서 구축되어 가는 실용 교육 모델을 체계적으로 분석 하고, 그 구조화, 다층성, 역량 중심적 특징을 고찰하였다. 구체적으로 기초 실험, 통합 훈련, 연구 경진대회 등을 활용한 점진적 프레임워크를 제시하며, 이를 통해 학생들이 기초 이해 단계에서 종합 응용 및 기술 혁신 단계로 성장하는 과정을 설명하였다. 이 모델은 산학협력(产教融合)을 통해 산업 수요를 교육 과정에 심층적으로 통합하고, 정규 및 비정규 교과 활동과 캠퍼스 내외 실습을 총체적으로 포괄한다. 하지만 해당 시스템은 산업 수요와의 부합성 부족, 산학협력의 형식화, 실습 인프라와 ‘겸임교수’ 등 전문 교원 자원의 열악함이라는 한계에 봉착해 있다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 학계는 교육시스템의 개방성 확보, 산업 연계의 심화, 그리고 교육 과정의 정밀화에 초점을 맞춘 개혁 방안을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구는 중국의 사례 분석을 통해 4차 산업혁명 시대에 요구되는 인재 양성을 위해 국제 사회에 유의미한 통찰과 시사점을 제공하고자 한다.
