국문 초록

본 연구는 2023년 장애인고용패널조사(PSED) 2차 웨이브 8차 자료의 완전응답자 3,609명을 대상으로, 한국어 로젠버그 자아존중감 척도(RSES) 10문항이 집단 비교에 신뢰롭게 활용될 수 있는지를 평가하였다. 사전 점검으로 고전검사이론(CTT)을 수행한 뒤 Rasch 평정척도모형(Rating Scale Model; RSM)을 적용하였고, 일차원성과 지역독립성은 잔차 주성분분석(PCA)과 Yen의 평균보정 Q3(Q3*)로 확인하였다. 응답범주 기능은 Andrich 임계값의 순서성과 간격, 범주 확률곡선의 교차 순서로 평가하였으며, 정밀도는 문항․사람 적합도(MNSQ), 내부일관성(Cronbach’s α, McDonald’s ω), 사람 추정치의 평균 표준오차(SE)와 능력 구간별 조건부 SE로 검토하였다. 응답자 수준과 문항 난이도의 타깃팅은 Wright 지도로 점검하고, 성별․취업 여부․장애정도(보조: 학력) 간 공정성은 Mantel–Haenszel 카이제곱(χ²)과 Rasch DIF 대비치(contrast, logits; ETS 등급)로 평가하였다. 잔차 주성분분석(PCA)의 첫 대안차원 고유값은 3.03으로 역문항에 기인한 방법효과 신호가 관찰되었고, Q3* 최대치는 0.516(문항 9–10)으로 국지적 의존 가능성이 확인되었다. 그럼에도 응답범주임계값은 단조 증가(τ₁=−2.30, τ₂=−0.19, τ₃=2.49)하고 간격도 적절하여 범주 병합이 불필요하였으며, 적합도․내부일관성․SE를 종합하면 실무적 수준의 일차원성이 유지되었다. DIF는 모든 비교에서 |contrast|<0.43(ETS A)로 나타나 실질적 편향은 미미하였다. 종합하면, 한국어 로젠버그 자아존중감 척도(RSES)는 역문항 해석에 유의할 필요가 있으나, 전반적으로 적합도․범주 기능․정밀도․공정성이 양호하여 정책 및 실천 현장에서 성별․취업 여부․장애 정도 등 집단 간 비교에 활용이 가능하다. 본 결과는 장애인 표본에서의 타당화 지표에 한정된다. 관찰된 역문항․국지적 의존 신호는 로젠버그 자아존중감 척도(RSES) 일반 문제일 가능성도 있어, 일반집단과의 직접 비교가 요구된다.

영문 초록

This study evaluated whether the 10-item Korean Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) can be used reliably for group comparisons among people with disabilities, using complete respondents (N = 3,609) from the 2023 Wave-8 panel of the second wave of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED). After preliminary checks with classical test theory (CTT), we applied the Rasch Rating Scale Model (RSM). Unidimensionality and local independence were examined via a principal components analysis of standardized residuals (residual PCA) and Yen’s mean-corrected Q3 (Q3*). Category functioning was assessed using the ordering and spacing of Andrich thresholds and the crossing order of category probability curves. Measurement precision drew on item/person fit (MNSQ), internal consistency (Cronbach’s α, McDonald’s ω), the mean standard error (SE) of person estimates, and conditional SE across ability bands. Targeting between respondent ability and item difficulty was inspected with a Wright map. Fairness across sex, employment status, and disability severity (auxiliary: education) was tested with Mantel–Haenszel χ²and Rasch DIF contrasts (logits; ETS classification). The first contrast eigenvalue of residual PCA was 3.03, indicating a method effect signal attributable to reverse-worded items; the maximum Q3* was 0.516 (items 9–10), suggesting local dependence. Nevertheless, category thresholds were monotonically ordered (τ₁= −2.30, τ₂= −0.19, τ₃= 2.49) with adequate spacing, and synthesis of fit, internal consistency, and SE supported practical unidimensionality. DIF magnitudes were largely ETS A (|contrast| < 0.43) across all comparisons, indicating minimal practical bias. In sum, while reverse-worded items warrant caution, the Korean RSES showed acceptable fit, category functioning, precision, and fairness, supporting its use for group comparisons by sex, employment status, and disability severity in policy and practice. These findings are limited to validation indices within the disability sample. The observed reverse-wording and local-dependence signals may reflect general properties of the RSES, warranting direct comparisons with general-population samples.
