국문 초록

이 연구의 목적은 직업능력향상교육 평생학습자의 참여동기와 인식된 삶의 질 간의 관계를 살피고, 이러한 관계를 학습성과가 어느 정도 매개하는지 확인하는 데 있다. 이를 통해 직업능력향상교육 맥락에서 참여동기와 학습성과가 삶의 질 인식과 어떠한 방식으로 연결되는지를 체계적으로 밝히고, 효과적인 평생교육 프로그램을 위한 실증적 근거를 마련하고자 했다. 연구방법으로 구조방정식 모형을 사용하였으며, 한국교육개발원의 2022년도 평생학습 개인실태조사 자료를 활용했다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 참여동기가 높을수록 삶의 질을 더 높게 인식하는 직접효과를 확인하였다. 둘째, 참여동기와 학습성과 간에 유의미한 정적 관계가 나타났다. 셋째, 학습성과가 높다고 인식할수록 삶의 질을 유의미하게 더 높게 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 참여동기가 학습성과를 통해 삶의 질 인식에 미치는 간접효과는 유의했으며, 이 중 총효과 대비 간접효과 비중은 약 18%로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 직업능력향상교육이 단순한 기능 향상 프로그램을 넘어, 참여동기와 학습성과를 매개로 삶의 전반적 만족도를 제고할 가능성을 시사한다.

영문 초록

This study aims to examine the relationship between participation motivation and perceived quality of life among lifelong learners in vocational competency development education. Furthermore, it seeks to verify the mediating effect of learning outcomes on this relationship. The objective is to systematically elucidate the mechanisms through which participation motivation and learning outcomes are linked to the perception of quality of life in this context, thereby providing empirical evidence for designing effective lifelong learning programs. For the methodology, Structural Equation Modeling was employed, utilizing data from the 2022 Korean Lifelong Learning Survey conducted by the Korean Educational Development Institute (KEDI). The key findings are as follows: First, a significant direct effect was confirmed, wherein higher participation motivation was associated with a higher perceived quality of life. Second, a significant positive relationship was found between participation motivation and learning outcomes. Third, higher perceived learning outcomes were significantly related to a higher perceived quality of life. Fourth, participation motivation had a significant indirect effect on perceived quality of life through the mediation of learning outcomes; this indirect effect accounted for approximately 18% of the total effect. These findings suggest that vocational competency development education transcends its role as a mere skills enhancement program. Instead, it holds the potential to improve overall life satisfaction by leveraging the interplay between learners' motivation and their academic achievements.
