대학생의 불안이 SNS중독에 미치는 영향: 대학생활적응의 매개효과 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 대학생의 불안이 대학생활적응을 매개로 소셜 네트워크 서비스(SNS)중독에 영향을 미치는지를 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. M지역 1개 대학에 재학 중인 학생들을 대상으로 전수조사를 실시하였고, 2024년 9월부터 11월까지 3개월간 설문조사를 실시하였다. 최종 425부의 설문지를 분석하였고, 통계분석은 PROCESS Macro 4.2와 SPSS/WIN 29.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 인구사회학적 특성에 따른 분석에서는 성별의 경우 남학생보다 여학생의 소셜 네트워킹 서비스(SNS)중독 수준이 유의하게 높았고, 학년이 높거나 성적이 좋을수록 대학생활적응 수준이 유의하게 높았다. 둘째, 대학생의 불안은 SNS중독에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 불안이 높을수록 SNS중독도 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 대학생의 불안과 SNS중독 간 관계를 대학생활적응이 부분매개 하는 것으로 나타났다. 불안은 SNS중독에 직접적인 영향을 미칠뿐만 아니라 대학생활적응을 매개로 SNS중독에 영향을 미침으로써 부분매개효과가 검증되었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 대학생의 SNS중독 예방을 위해서는 대학생의 불안감소와 대학생활적응 향상을 위한 프로그램 개발 및 시행 그리고 대학 내 시스템 구축이 중요함을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study was conducted to verify whether college students' anxiety affects SNS addiction through adaptation to college life. A total survey was conducted on students enrolled in one university in area M, and a three-month survey was conducted from September to November 2024. The final 425 questionnaires were analyzed, and statistical analysis was performed using PROCESS Macro 4.2 and SPSS/WIN 29.0. The main results of the study are as follows. First, in the analysis based on demographic and sociological characteristics, the level of SNS addiction of female students was significantly higher than that of male students in terms of gender, and the higher the grade or the better the grade, the higher the level of adaptation to college life. Second, it was found that college students' anxiety had a significant effect on SNS addiction. In other words, the higher the anxiety, the higher the SNS addiction. Third, it was found that college life adaptation partially mediated the influence relationship between college students' anxiety and SNS addiction. Anxiety not only directly affects SNS addiction, but also has been verified as a partial mediating effect by affecting SNS addiction through college life adaptation. Based on these results, this study suggested that it is important to develop and implement programs to reduce college students' anxiety, improve college life adaptation, and establish a system within the university to prevent college students' addiction to SNS.
