학교폭력 책임교사의 사안처리 경험 및 역할 연구: 학교폭력 전담조사관 제도 도입 이후를 중심으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구의 목적은 학교폭력 전담조사관 제도가 도입된 이후 학교폭력 사안처리 실태와 책임교사의 인식에 대해 책임교사의 경험을 토대로 분석하고, 이를 통해 학교폭력 사안처리 과정에서 책임교사가 맡아야 할 궁극적인 역할을 탐구하는 것이다. 연구방법: 본 연구는 학교폭력 전담조사관 제도 도입 이후의 학교폭력 사안처리 실태와 사안처리 과정에서 책임교사의 역할을 탐구하기 위해 혼합 연구 방법을 채택하였다. 현장의 학교폭력 책임교사 170명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하고, 추가로 현직 교사, 정책 전문가, 교육전문직, 전담조사관을 대상으로 전문가인터뷰를 진행하여 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 연구 결과, 학교폭력 전담조사관 제도 도입 이후 학교폭력 사안처리 과정에서 책임교사는 학생이나 학부모의 민원에 대한 부담을 경험하고, 학교폭력 전담조사관 제도가 이와 관련하여 유의미한 효과를 본 것으로 드러났다. 그러나, 여전히 학교폭력 사안처리 과정의 본질적인 개선을 위해서는 책임교사의 역할을 재설정하여야 한다는 것 또한 확인하였다. 논의 및 결론: 이 연구는 학교폭력 사안처리 과정에서 책임교사가 행해야 할 근본적인 역할에 대해 확인하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

영문 초록

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to analyze the status of school violence cases and the perception of responsible teachers after the introduction of the school violence investigator system. Based on the experience of the responsible teacher, the study aims to explore the ultimate role responsible teachers should play in the process of handling school violence cases. Method: This study employed a mixed research method to explore the status of school violence cases after the implementation of the school violence investigator system and the role of responsible teachers in the case process. A survey was conducted on 170 teachers in charge of school violence in the field, and expert interviews were conducted with incumbent teachers, policy experts, education professionals, and dedicated investigators. The results were analyzed acordingly. Results: As a result of the study, the responsible teacher experienced the burden of complaints from students and parents, and the school violence investigator system had a significant effect in this regard. However, it was also confirmed that the role of the responsible teacher should be reset in order to fundamentally improve the process of dealing with school violence cases. Conclusion: This study highlights the fundamental role responsible teachers should play in the process of dealing with school violence cases, providing meaningful insights for policy and practice.
