국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 대학생들의 협력적, 경쟁적, 개인적 태도가 친구 네트워크를 통해 나타나는 또래 선택과 또래 영향 과정을 살펴봄으로써 대학생의 사회적 상호의존성이 또래 친구 네트워크를 통해 어떻게 조절되고, 시간의 흐름에 따라 어떻게 확산되는지 탐색하고자 하였다. 연구방법: 대학생 329명(남학생 215명, 여학생 114명)을 대상으로 11개의 전공 수업에서 학기초 3월과 학기말 6월에 각각 약 30분 정도 온라인 설문설문을 실시하였고, 종단사회연결망 분석 SIENA 모델을 활용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 대학생들의 협력적 태도가 친구들과 유사해지는 또래 영향 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 경쟁적 태도 역시 친구 네트워크를 통해 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 개인적 태도 역시 친구 네트워크를 통해 유사해지는 경향이 나타났다. 논의 및 결론: 대학생들의 협력적, 경쟁적, 개인적 태도가 친구 네트워크를 통해 서로 다른 방식으로 유사성을 형성한다는 점을 통해 대학 수업에서의 팀 구성 및 역할 분담 등에서의 수업 설계 방식에 본 연구 결과가 미치는 시사점을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study examined to explore how university students’ social interdependence is regulated through their peer network and how it spreads over time by examining the peer selection and peer influence processes that reveal university students’ cooperative, competitive, and individualistic attitudes through their peer network. Method: An online survey was conducted for approximately 30 minutes in March at the beginning of the semester and June at the end of the semester with 329 university students (215 male students and 114 female students) in 11 major classes. The analysis was conducted using the longitudinal social network analysis(SIENA model). Results: First, the peer influence effect was found to make university students’ cooperative attitudes similar to their friends. Second, competitive attitudes were also found to be influenced by their peer network. Third, individual attitudes also tended to become similar through their peer network. Conclusions: The implications of this study for class design methods such as team composition and role division in college classes were discussed based on the fact that university students’ cooperative, competitive, and individualistic attitudes form similarities in different ways through their friend network.
