現代日本語のいわゆる誘導使役に関する一考察 - 指令使役との比較·対照の観点から

국문 초록

This paper focuses primarily on so-called “inductive causative” among the various types of causative sentences in Japanese. It provides a systematic analysis and description of their semantic and grammatical characteristics and their discursive inducement-related characteristics through a comparison with prototypical typical causative. The primary results of the present study are summarized as follows. First, typical causative sentences tend to involve adverbs primarily expressing the actor’s intentionality or manner adverbs related to the force or intensity of an action, whereas inductive causative sentences tend to involve the interjective maa, which characterizes the speaker’s (causer’s) attitudinal stance. Second, regarding sentence-final expressions that express evaluative attitudes, I observe that typical causative sentences tend to involve the evaluative modality that primarily expresses obligation or necessity, whereas indirect causative sentences tend to involve the evaluative modality -ba ii or hō ga ii, which indicates what is relatively preferable in a specific situation. Third, regarding the discursive characteristics of inducement, I argue that a command-structure in typical causative sentences may shift to an inducement- structure in inductive causative sentences and that this shit leads to a breakdown of the hierarchical relationship between the causer and the agent.

영문 초록

本論文は、現代日本語の使役文の多様な類型の中でも、いわゆる誘導使 役を主な考察対象とし、典型的な指令使役との比較·対照の観点から意味·文法的な特徴および誘導の談話的な特徴に至るまで体系的に分析·記述したものである。その主な論点を整理すると、次のようになる。 第一に、指令使役では、主に主体の意図性を表す副詞や動きの勢い·強 さに関わる様態副詞の共起がみられる反面、誘導使役では話し手(使役主)の態度的な現れとして特徴づけられる感動詞｢まあ｣との共起がみられる点を指摘した。 第二に、評価的態度を表す文末表現においては、指令使役の場合、主に 当為を表す評価のモダリティが後続することが多いのに対し、誘導使役の場合、｢ばいい、方がいい｣という主に個別的な場面の中で比較的に望ましいと思われる勧めを表す評価のモダリティが後続することが多い点について指摘した。 第三に、誘導の談話的特徴においては、指令使役における命令の構造か ら誘導の構造へと場面が移行される現象から、使役主と動作主間の上下関係がしばしば崩れることがある点について指摘した。
