국문 초록

The present paper aims to investigate the grammatical properties of ditransitive passives in Japanese conversation by examining the data retrieved from a large-scale conversation corpus. There are two types of ditransitive passives in Japanese: one with a recipient argument in the subject position, and the other with a theme argument in the subject position. Previous studies have pointed out several constraints on the marking of an agent argument in these types of passives, but little research has been conducted on their other grammatical properties. The current study focuses on these two types of passive sentences, especially focuses on their distribution in discourse, the presence and absence of agent and theme arguments in clauses, and case markings of these arguments. The analysis reveals that the two types of passives are not equally distributed in naturally occurring conversation and exhibit distinct grammatical properties.

영문 초록

本稿は現代日本語の会話文における二重他動詞の受動文の様相を、大規模会話コーパスを通して検証することを目的とする。日本語の二重他動詞には、受け手の項が主格の位置に置かれるタイプと、動作の対象物の項が主格の位置に置かれるタイプの二通りの受動文が存在する。これらの受動文については、動作主の項が取る標識にいくつかの制約があることが現在までの研究で指摘されてきたが、それ以外の性質については多くの研究が為されてこなかった。そこで、本稿はこの二つのタイプの受動文について、ディスコースにおけるタイプ別の分布、動作主と主格の項の明示と不明示、そして動作主と主格の項における標識の分布についてのデータ分析を行った。分析の結果、本稿は両タイプの受動文は自然会話において同等ではなく、異なる性質を持っているということを指摘する。
