전문상담교사 양성과정 내 특수아상담 교과목 운영에 대한 교수자들의 인식과 경험

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 장애학생 상담을 위한 전문상담교사 양성과정과 관련된 현상에 대한 인식을 토대로 (교육)대학원의 전문상담교사 양성과정에서 장애학생 상담을 위한 교사의 역량개발을 위해 개설된 특수아상담 교과목을 담당하는 교수자들이 가진 교과목 운영에 대한 인식과 경험이 무엇인지를 탐색하였다. 국내 (교육)대학원에서 특수아상담 교과목을 3학기 이상 담당한 교수자 5명을 대상으로 개별적 심층면담을 실시하고 문서자료를 수집하여 이를 현상학적 질적연구의 분석기준을 토대로 분석하였다. 분석결과, 총 5개의 범주, 즉, (1) 장애와 상담, 두 마리 토끼 잡기, (2) 길고긴 장애학생 이해과정, (3) 상담의 실제를 다루기 위한 궁여지책, (4) 맨땅에 헤딩하기, (5) 선장 없는 배를 탄 힘겨운 항해가 도출되었다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 향후 내실 있는 특수아상담 교과목을 통해 장애학생 상담을 위한 전문상담교사를 효과적으로 양성할 수 있는 교과목 운영 방법과 교육과정 편성 측면에서의 개선 방안을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study investigated the perceptions and teaching experiences of instructors for managing the course of counseling for students with disabilities which was one of the courses of professional school counselor training program in the graduate school. Semi-structured qualitative interviews were individually conducted with 5 instructors who taught the course over three semesters. Data from these interviews were analyzed using phenomenological research analysis method. As a result, five categories such as (1) disabilities and counseling, trying to teach the both, (2) a long process for understanding students with disabilities, (3) including counseling practices for students with disabilities, (4) endeavoring without any instructional guidelines, (5) striving without professional leaders were identified. Some suggestions were made regarding ways to manage the course of counseling for students with disabilities, and to develop the curriculum for the professional school counselor training program.
