국문 초록

이 연구는 사회성 및 행동문제를 보이는 유아들과 어머니의 양육스트레스와 관련된 요인들에 대한 놀이치료의 효과를 조사하였다. 본 연구는 또한 놀이치료의 적용에 따른 유아의 사회적 유능성, 유아의 내현적 문제, 외현적 문제, 어머니들의 양육스트레스의 변화를 살펴보았다. 7명의 유아아동과 그들의 어머니들이 이 연구에 참여하였다. 부모양육스트레스 검사 (Parenting Stress Index)와 사회적 유능성과 행동평정 (Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation: SCBE, Preschool Edition)도구가 사용되었다. 데이터 분석을 위해 프리드만 검정 (Friedman test), 윌콕슨 검정 (Wilcoxon test), 그리고 기술통계 (descriptive statistics)가 사용되었다. 연구결과를 정리하면, 놀이치료와 네 가지 변수들간의 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나왔다. 이것은 놀이치료가 아동의 사회적 유능성, 내현적ㆍ외현적 문제와 어머니의 양육스트레스에 긍정적인 효과가 있다는 것을 의미한다.

영문 초록

The study aimed to investigate the effects of play therapy on both young children who were at risk of social and behavioral problems and mothers’ parenting stress. Across three time points through play therapy, the study also examined the changes in children’s social competence, internalizing problems, externalizing problems, and mothers’ parenting stress by applying play therapy. Seven children and their mothers participated in this study. Parenting Stress Index (PSI) and Friedman test, Wilcoxon test, and descriptive statistics were used for data analysis. Significant differences were found on all the following four variables; children’s social competence, internalizing problems, externalizing problems, and mothers’ parenting stress. This indicated that the positive effects were shown on children’s social competence, internalizing problems, externalizing problems, and mothers’ parenting stress through play therapy.
