국문 초록

그동안 우리나라 중등교원의 양성 형태와 교직과목 운영 실제와 관련된 여러 연구가 수행 되었다. 그러나 일부 연구에서 중등교원 양성 형태에 관한 누락된 내용이 있고, 교직과목 개 정과 관련된 정책결정 과정에 대한 불필요한 오해가 있음을 발견하였다. 이에 본 연구는 중 등교원 양성형태와 교직과목 운영의 실태를 명확하게 기술함으로써 중등교원 양성과정에 관 한 올바른 이해를 돕고, 나아가 바람직한 교원양성정책 수립을 위한 논의의 단초를 제공하는 데 목적이 있다. 해방 후 우리나라는 사범대학을 중심으로 일반대학 교직과정과 교육대학원 의 정규과정과 임시교원양성소, 보수교육과정 등의 비정규과정 등 다양한 유형의 중등교원 양성 형태가 있었으나, 시대적 특성을 적절히 반영하지 못하였다. 교원양성과정의 교직과목의 구성 또한 오랫동안 큰 틀에서 변화 없이 일부 과목만 변경하는 수준을 유지한 채 현재에 이 르고 있다. 앞으로 중등교육의 지속적인 발전을 위해서는 우리나라 교원정책에 적합한 교원 양성체제의 도입과 교직과목의 구성을 모색하여야 하며, 이러한 과정에 교육공동체 구성원이 함께 참여하고 논의하여 최선의 방안을 마련하여야 한다.

영문 초록

Several researches have been carried out so far, related to the forms of secondary teacher education and the practical operation of teaching profession subjects in Korea. However, there has been a missing description about the form of secondary teacher education and an unnecessary misconception about the policy decision process related to revision of teaching profession subjects. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to make a clear description of the form of secondary teacher education and the operation status of teaching profession subjects so as to provide a better understanding of the process of secondary teacher education and a basis for discussion for establishing desirable teacher education policies. In the meantime, various forms of secondary teacher education courses have been established and disappeared in Korea, and some have not been systematically operated. The composition of teaching profession subjects have been also changing with only some subjects changed without any change in the big frame, and it has reached the present level. For the development of secondary education, it is necessary to search for the introduction of the education system suitable for the teacher policy of our country and the composition of teaching profession subjects, and the members of the education community should discuss and prepare measures in this process. First, the role and scope of the teacher education course should be expanded. the teacher policy should be reorganized so that the city or provincial office of education can function as the second teacher education institute. Second, the composition of teaching subjects should be examined in the context of validity and legitimacy.
