환자안전과 간호에 대한 연구 동향 - 텍스트네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링

국문 초록

본 연구는 텍스트네트워크 분석과 토픽모델링을 활용하여 국내외 간호학 문헌에 나타난 환자안전 연구 동향을 파악하고, 핵심 주제를 도출하고자 수행하였다. 이를 위해 학술지 초록 수집, 초록에서 키워드 정제 및 추출, 텍스트네트워크 및 키워드 동시 출현 행렬 분석, 중심성 분석, 토픽모델링을 포함한 네트워크 관련 지표 검토의 네 단계로 진행되었다. 2017년부터 2023년까지 발표된 국내 연구 458편과 국제 연구 2,128편을 분석 대상으로 선정하였다. 데이터 분석은 NetMiner 프로그램을 사용하여 수행하였다. 중심성 분석 결과, 가장 많이 출현한 키워드는 ‘간호사’, ‘환자’, ‘간호’, ‘안전’, ‘병원’, ‘오류’, ‘질’, ‘관리’, ‘실무’, ‘문화’, ‘학생’, ‘건강’이었다. 토픽모델링 결과, 간호사의 환자안전 질 향상 활동, 간호사의 환자안전사고 관리, 간호대학생의 환자안전 역량, 간호사의 환자안전 문화의 네 가지 핵심 주제가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과는 환자안전 연구에서 간호사의 역할이 매우 중요하며, 의료환경 내 환자안전 문화 구축이 필수적임을 시사한다. 또한, 환자안전 실무 및 관리의 실증적 연구 필요성과 함께 간호교육에 환자안전 역량을 통합한 지속적인 교육 및 관리 프로그램 개발이 요구된다. 본 연구는 향후 환자안전 연구 및 정책 수립을 위한 기초자료를 제공할 것으로 기대된다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to identify key research topics related to patient safety in Korean and international nursing literature through text network analysis. This study was conducted in four phases: collecting journal abstracts from previous studies, refining and extracting keywords from the abstracts, analyzing text networks and co-occurrence matrices of keywords, and examining network-related measures, including centrality analysis and topic modeling. A total of 458 Korean studies and 2,128 international studies published between 2017 and 2023 were selected for analysis. Data analysis was performed using NetMiner program. Centrality analysis revealed that the most frequently occurring keywords included ‘nurse,’‘patient,’‘care,’‘safety,’‘hospital,’‘error,’‘quality,’‘management,’‘practice,’‘culture,’‘student,’and‘health.’Topic modeling identified four key thematic areas: nurses’ patient safety quality improvement activities, nurses’ management of patient safety incidents, nursing students’ patient safety competency, and nurses’ patient safety culture. These findings highlight the central role of nurses in patient safety research and underscore the critical need for a robust patient safety culture in healthcare settings. The study concludes that empirical research on patient safety practices is vital and that integrating patient safety competencies into nursing education through continuous training programs is crucial. The results are expected to serve as foundational data for future research and policy development in patient safety.
