국문 초록

본 연구는 2015년부터 2024년까지 국내에서 수행된 장애아동 가족 대상 질적연구의 동향을 분석함으로써, 연구의 주요 흐름과 향후 연구 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 총 61편의 질적연구를 선정하여출판연도, 학술지 분야, 연구주제, 연구유형, 연구방법 등을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 특수교육 관련 학술지 외에도 다양한 관련 학술지에서 연구가 수행되고 있었다. 연구주제는 ‘가족 경험’, ‘지원요구’, ‘인식’의 세 가지로 범주화되었고, 연구유형은 일반질적연구가 주류를 이루었다. 연구방법 중 연구 참여자는 어머니가 참여한연구가 다수였고, 자녀의 장애유형은 발달장애가 가장 높은 비율을 차지하였다. 자료 수집 방법으로는 면담이가장 빈번히 활용되으며, 신뢰도와 타당도 확보를 위한 노력이 꾸준히 이루어지고 있었다. 본 연구는 장애아동 가족의 다차원적 삶을 이해하기 위한 질적 접근의 중요성을 강조하며, 향후 연구에서 가족 구성원 다양화, 지역 및 문화적 맥락 확대, 다양한 질적연구 활용, 실천적 연구 강화 등의 방향성을 제언하였다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed trends in qualitative research on families of children with disabilities in South Korea from 2015 to 2024 aiming to identify prevailing trends and suggest future directions of qualitative research. A total of 61 studies were reviewed based on publication year, journal types, research topics, methodological approach, and data collection strategies. The findings indicated that while a substantial portion of studies were published in special education journals, a notable number appeared in interdisciplinary outlets, reflecting the broad relevance of family-centered disability research. Research topics were categorized into three core domains: lived experiences of family members, support needs, and perceptions. The dominant methodological framework was general qualitative inquiry, with most studies involving mothers as the primary participants and focusing on children with developmental disabilities. In-depth interviews emerged as the primary data collection method; consistent efforts were also reported to enhance reliability and validity through strategies such as triangulation, member checking, and audit trails. This review highlights the critical role of qualitative approaches in capturing the complex and multifaceted experiences of families of children with disabilities. Future research directions include diversifying family participants, incorporating regional and cultural contexts, utilizing a wider array of qualitative methodologies, and enhancing practice-oriented research.
