국문 초록

본 연구는 연구자인 어머니가 직접 참여자로서 만 2세 자녀와 함께 대화식 그림책 읽기를 실천하며 경험한 상호작용의 과정을 질적으로 탐색한 자기서사적 연구이다. 대화식 그림책 읽기는 아동과의 주고받는 대화를 통해 상호작용을 유도하는 방법으로, 언어적 표현이 발달 중인 영아와의 소통을 촉진할 수 있는 실천 방식이다. 본 연구는 그림책 읽기 과정에서 형성되는 아이와 나 사이의 상호작용, 감정, 해석의 흐름을 중심으로 그 의미를 밝히고자 하였다. 자료 수집은 연구자의 일상 실천과정에서 발생한 상호작용을 중심으로 하였으며, 기록, 영상 분석, 연구자의 메모, 전문가 검토 등의 방식으로 수집 및 해석하였다. 분석 과정에서는 연구자로서의 자의식이 해석에 미치는 영향을 지속적으로 성찰하고, 타당성을 확보하기 위한 삼각검증과 반복적 분석을 병행하였다. 연구 결과, 대화식 그림책 읽기를 통해 영아는 보다 적극적인 반응을 보였고, 어머니인 연구자 역시 아이의 언어적・비언어적 표현에 민감하게 반응하며 관계의 밀도를 경험하였다. 본 연구는 영아기 그림책 읽기를 통한 상호작용의 실제적 장면을 탐색함으로써, 초기 부모-자녀 관계 형성 및 그림책 읽기 실천의 시사점을 제안한다.

영문 초록

This study is a self-narrative qualitative research in which the researcher, as the mother of a 2-year-old child, participated directly in the practice of dialogic picture book reading. Dialogic reading is an interactive method that promotes communication through reciprocal dialogue, rather than one-sided reading, and is particularly effective in enhancing engagement and interaction with toddlers in the early stages of language development. The study aimed to explore the meaning of the interactional experiences that emerged between the mother and child during the process of dialogic reading. Data were collected through daily records of shared reading sessions, video recordings, analytic memos, and feedback from external reviewers. Efforts to ensure analytical validity included continuous self-reflection on the researcher's positionality, triangulation, and repeated data analysis. The results revealed that dialogic picture book reading encouraged the toddler to show more active responses and helped the mother become more attuned to the child's verbal and non-verbal cues. This study offers valuable insights into the practice of picture book reading as a medium for early parent-child interaction, and it suggests practical implications for early childhood education and parenting.
