수시 개정 교육과정기 실과 검정 교과서 진로 영역 단원의 체제 비교분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 수시 개정 교육과정기에 개발된 38종 실과 검정 교과서의 진로 영역 단원의 체제 및 내용 분석을 바탕으로 시사점과 개선 방안을 제시하고, 교과서 개발과 진로 교육 및 정책에 도움을 주는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구의 결과와 이를 바탕으로 한 제언을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 수시 개정 교육과정기에 진로 영역 단원의 실과교과서에서 차지하는 평균 비율(6%)은 그 중요도에 비해 다소 낮은 것으로 여겨진다. 이는 초등학교 현장에서 진로 교육의 중요도와 앞으로 2022 교육과정에서 강조하는 진로 연계 학기의 시행 측면에서 아쉬운 측면이다. 따라서 추후 교과서에서는 진로 교육 내용의 질적인 측면과 아울러 양적인 측면에서도 개선의 필요성이 있다. 둘째, 수시 개정 교육과정기 실과 교과 내 진로 영역 단원은 지식뿐만 아니라 태도, 실천과 실행을 동반할 수 있는 기능 역시 중요하다. 그러나 현재까지는 실과교과서의 진로 영역에서 지식 위주의 학습 목표가 주로 제시된 것으로 나타났다. 추후에 개발되는 교과서에서는 진로 영역의 학습 목표가 지식, 태도, 기능의 조화를 이룰 필요성이 있다. 셋째, 수시 개정 교육과정기 실과 교과 내 진로 영역 단원의 보조자료 유형인 ‘흥미 유발’, ‘본문 보충 또한 심화’, ‘정보제공’이 고루 제시되어 있지 않다. 앞으로 이러한 점이 개선되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 교과서에서 체험의 형태가 ‘교실 내’에서 주로 이루어지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 앞으로는 ‘교실 밖’에서 다양한 활동과 체험과 관련된 내용이 많이 들어갈 수 있도록 개선되어야 할 것이다. 넷째, 수시 개정 교육과정기 실과 교과 내 진로 영역 단원 평가 문항이 양적인 측면에서 다소 적은 것(3문항 미만)으로 나타났다. 앞으로는 양적인 측면에서는 개선이 되어야 할 것이고, 질적인 측면에서는 수렴형과 확산형이 적절한 조화를 이루는 것이 바람직할 것이다. 다섯째, 후속 연구에는 앞으로 개발될 2022 개정 검정 실과교과서를 포함하여 진로 영역의 내용 요소에 대한 변화와 교과서별 내용 표현 방식의 차이를 살펴보는 것도 의미가 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

This study aims to offer insights and improvement measures by analyzing the career-related unit system and content in 38 practical arts textbooks developed during periods of frequent curriculum revisions. It is intended to inform the development of future textbooks, strengthen career education, and devise relevant policies. The findings offer several recommendations. First, the average proportion of career-related units in the practical arts textbook during the occasional curriculum revisions is 6%, which appears to be somewhat lower given their actual importance. Future textbooks should improve both the quality and quantity of career education content. Second, while current practical arts textbooks emphasize knowledge-oriented learning goals, it is essential to harmonize knowledge, attitudes, and skills in future revisions. Third, the analysis shows that career-related experiences in current textbooks are confined to the classroom. However, future revisions should incorporate a variety of activities and experience-oriented content beyond the classroom setting. Fourth, the number of evaluation items related to career education in periodically revised curricula (fewer than three questions) is somewhat insufficient in terms of quantity and should be improved in the future. Moreover, it would be desirable to achieve an appropriate balance between 'convergence evaluation' and 'diffusion evaluation' in terms of quality. Fifth, it would be meaningful to examine the changes in the career education content elements and the differences in how the content is presented in textbooks, including those to be developed under the 2022 revised curriculum.
