대바늘뜨기의 실 걸기와 시작코 만들기 교육내용 분석: 1차~6차 교육과정을 중심으로

국문 초록

1차 교육과정부터 6차 교육과정까지 대바늘뜨기의 ‘실 걸기’와 ‘시작코 만들기’에 대한 교육 내용을 고찰하여 분석한 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 대바늘뜨기에서 ‘실을 잡는 방법’은 1차 교육과정 중학교 ‘가정’에서 처음으로 ‘불란서식’과 ‘독일식’으로 나타내었고, 5차 교육과정과 6차 교육과정 고등학교 ‘가사’에서는 ‘프랑스식(왼손에 걸어 뜨기)’과 ‘미국식(오른손에 걸어 뜨기)’으로 나타내었다. ‘시작코를 만들기 시작하는 위치’는 2차 교육과정과 3차 교육과정에서는 완성한 치수의 5배 또는 5배에 여유분 10cm를 더한 곳, 6차 교육과정에서는 3~4배(‘대바늘을 사용하여 만드는 코’는 4배, ‘1코 고무뜨기코’는 3배)이다. ‘시작코를 만들 때 사용하는 대바늘의 개수나 호수’는 6차 교육과정에서 ‘대바늘을 사용하여 만드는 코’의 경우, ‘대바늘 2개를 사용할 때는 본뜨기할 바늘과 같거나 1호 정도 가는 바늘을 겹쳐서 사용하고, 대바늘 1개를 사용할 때는 2호 굵은 바늘을 사용한다’이다. ‘시작코를 만드는 방법’은 6가지가 있다. ‘대바늘을 사용하여 만드는 코’는 ‘방법 1(실로 고리를 만들며 시작하는 방법)’과 ‘방법 2(실 사이에 엄지손가락과 집게손가락을 아래에서 위로 넣으며 시작하는 방법)’로 나누어 볼 수 있으며, ‘시작코 만드는 방법’은 15종의 교과서 중에서 14종 교과서에 있으며, ‘방법 1’은 10종의 교과서, ‘방법 2’는 4종 교과서에 있다. ‘1코 고무뜨기코’는 7종 교과서, ‘코바늘을 사용하여 만드는 코’는 5종 교과서, ‘감아코(겹단코)’는 3종 교과서, ‘별도의 사슬코를 이용하여 만드는 코’는 1종 교과서에 있다. 본 연구의 결과는 앞으로의 대바늘뜨기 교육을 위한 기초적인 자료로서의 의의뿐만 아니라 방향성의 제시에도 도움이 될 것으로 생각된다.

영문 초록

This study analyzed the educational content on knitting techniques—‘yarn hanging’ and ‘cast on’— from the 1st curriculum to the 6th curriculum. Key findings are as follows. In knitting, ‘the method of hanging yarn’ is presented in ‘French style’ and ‘German style’ for the first time in middle school in the 1st curriculum, and ‘French style (hanging on the left hand)’ and ‘American style (hanging on the right)’ in the 5th and 6th curriculum high school ‘Household’ textbook. ‘The starting position of cast on’ suggests 5 or 5 times the completed dimensions plus 10cm of extra length in the 2nd and 3rd curriculum, and 3~4 times (4 times for ‘stitch made using knitting needles’ and 3 times for ‘one by one ribbing stitch’) in the 6th curriculum. The number and size of knitting needles used to make a ‘stitch’ are specified in the 6th curriculum. When making ‘stitch made using knitting needles’ using 2 knitting needles, overlap the same needle as the knitting needle or about 1 thin needle, and use 2 thick needles to make ‘stitch made using knitting needles’ using 1 knitting needle. There are about six ways to ‘cast on.’ ‘Stitches made using knitting needles’ can be divided into ‘Method 1 (starting by making a circle with yarn)’ and ‘Method 2 (starting by putting the thumb and forefinger between the yarns from bottom to top)’. Of the 15 textbooks that include ‘the cast on method’, 14 present it. Among them, ‘Method 1’ appears in 10 textbooks, and instructions for ‘Method 2’ are presented in 4. The ‘one by one ribbing stitch’ features in 7 textbooks, ‘stitch made using crochet hook’ in 5, ‘backward loop cast on’ in 3, and ‘stitch made using a separate chain stitch’ in 1 textbook. The results of this study are expected to serve not only as basic data for future knitting education but also as the basis for suggesting directions for curriculum development.
