중·고등학생의 플로리시 예측 요인 비교: 성취목표지향성, Big5성격특성, 사회적 지지를 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구에서는 중·고등학생의 플로리시에 영향을 주는 요인을 탐색하기 위해 동기, 성격, 사회적 관계 등을 예측 요인으로 설정한 연구모형을 분석하고, 학교 급별로 예측 요인들의 설명력을 비교하였다. 2024년 10월 30일부터 11월 13일까지 온라인 설문을 통해 자발적으로 참여한 중학생 268명과 고등학생 303명의 설문 응답 을 토대로 위계적 회귀분석을 실행하였다. 자료분석 결과로, 중·고등학생 집단 동일 하게 성취목표지향성, Big5 성격특성, 사회적 지지 순으로 플로리시에 대한 설명력을 보인 반면, 개인 및 가정배경 요인(성별, 학업성취수준, 거주지, 형제유무)의 설명력은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 한편, 플로리시에 대한 설명력의 크기는 학교급에 따라 다소 차이가 있는 것을 확인하였다. 성취목표지향성의 경우, 중학생은 수행접근의 설명력이 가장 컸던 반면, 고등학생은 숙달목표가 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. Big5 성격특성의 경우, 중학생은 친화성-외향성-성실성 순으로 설명력이 큰 반면, 고등학생 은 외향성-성실성-친화성 순으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 지지에서는 두 집단 모두 친구지지가 가장 중요했으나, 중학생은 부모지지가, 고등학생은 교사지지가 그 다음 으로 중요한 예측변수로 확인되었다. 연구 결과를 통해 플로리시에 대한 중·고등학생의 성취목표지향성, Big5 성격특성, 사회적 지지 등의 예측력에 대한 시사점을 논하였으며, 이 연구의 결과가 중·고등학생의 플로리시 증진을 위한 맞춤형 지원방안 설계에 기초자료가 될 수 있음을 제안하였다.

영문 초록

This study aimed to explore the factors influencing flourishing among middle and high school students by analyzing a research model incorporating achievement goal orientation (motivation), Big 5 personality traits (personality), and social support (social relationships) as predictors. Furthermore, it compared the explanatory power of these predictors across different school levels (middle vs. high school). Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted using data collected through online surveys administered between October 30 and November 13, 2024. Participants comprised 268 middle school and 303 high school students who voluntarily responded. The analysis revealed that, for both middle and high school groups, the predictors significantly explained flourishing in the following order of magnitude: achievement goal orientation, Big 5 personality traits, and social support. Conversely, personal and family background factors (gender, academic achievement level, area of residence, presence of siblings) did not show statistically significant explanatory power. However, the magnitude of the explanatory power for flourishing varied between the school levels. Regarding achievement goal orientation, performance-approach goals demonstrated the highest explanatory power for middle school students, whereas mastery goals were most significant for high school students. In terms of Big 5 personality traits, the order of influence for middle school students was Agreeableness, followed by Extraversion and Conscientiousness, while for high school students, the order was Extraversion, Conscientiousness, and Agreeableness. Furthermore, while friend support emerged as the most crucial predictor for both groups, parent support was the second most important for middle school students, whereas teacher support held that position for high school students. Based on these findings, the study discusses the implications of achievement goal orientation, Big 5 personality traits, and social support as predictors of flourishing in adolescents. It is suggested that these results can serve as foundational data for designing tailored support programs aimed at enhancing the flourishing of middle and high school students.
