장애학생 담당 교사를 대상으로 한 질적연구 분석

국문 초록

본 연구는 특수교육 분야에서 교사를 대상으로 한 국내 질적연구 61편을 선정하여 각 연구의 연구주제, 연구대상자인 교사, 교사가 담당하는 장애학생들의 장애유형 면에서의 특징을 살펴보았고, 각 연구가 질적연구의 연구방법론적 준거를 어느 정도의 수준으로 충족하고 있는지를 살펴보았다. 연구결과를 요약해보면, 첫째, 장애학생을 위한 교육체계·교육과정 운영과 교과·교수전략에 대한 교사의 인식과 경험을 주제로, 지적장애 학생을 지도하는 교사를 대상으로 한 질적연구가 많이 수행되었다. 둘째, 질적연구의 연구방법론적 준거에 매우 낮은 또는 낮은 수준으로 충족하는 연구들이 많은 편으로 나타났는데, 즉, 선행연구를 제외한 연구의 개념적 맥락요소와 연구질문이 진술된 연구는 많지 않았다. 셋째, 연구대상자와 연구배경이 구체적으로 진술된 연구는 많지 않았고, 자료수집은 1-2회, 60분 미만의 인터뷰만을 통해 이루어진 연구가 대부분이었다. 넷째, 연구유형을 진술하고, 이에 적합한 분석방법을 명확하게 진술한 연구는 거의 없었고, 범주와 주제 생성과정을 체계적으로 진술한 연구 역시 매우 부족하였다. 마지막으로, 타당도 검증을 위해서 연구자 삼각검증, 구성원 검증, 또는 동료 검증을 실시한 연구가 많았다. 그러나 연구결과를 표나 그림을 통해 구체적으로 진술한 연구는 매우 부족하였고, 글쓰기 방법을 구체적으로 진술한 연구는 한편도 없었다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 특수교육 분야에서 질높은 질적연구의 수행을 위한 개선점과 발전방향을 논의하였다.

영문 초록

This study identified a total of 61 qualitative studies with teachers for students with disabilities to analyze the characteristics of research topics, teachers, and types of disabilities of students, and to investigate the level of qualifying the methodological criterions for qualitative studies. The results were as follows: First, there were many studies focusing on the teachers' perceptions and experiences related to education system and curriculum management for students with intellectual disabilities. Second, many studies met the methodological criterions for qualitative studies at a quite low or low level. For example, a few studies described their conceptual contextuality or research questions. Third, research participants and setting were not specifically described in many studies. Most of the studies conducted data collections using only 1-2 interview(s) within 60 minutes. Fourth, a few studies described the types of qualitative studies, data-analysis methods, and procedures of developing the categories and themes of data. Last, many studies used the researcher triangulation, member check, or peer debriefing for verifying the validity of their results. However, most of the studies did not represent their results using tables and pictures in detail. None of the studies explained their writing styles for describing the results. Based on these results, this study discussed the directions for conducting a qualified qualitative studies in the field of special education.
