국문 초록

본 연구는 통합학급에 입급된 지적장애학생의 개인-사회적 기술에 대한 통합학급 교사의 인식을 살펴보고 이를 4가지 교사 배경변인에 따라 분석함으로써, 지적장애학생의 개인-사회적 기술과 통합교육 실천 간의 관련성을 검토하며 이를 토대로 통합학급 교사의 인식수준을 향상시킬 수 있는 실제적인 지원방안의 모색을 목적으로 하였다. 이상의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 통합학급을 담당하고 있는 초,중,고등학교 교사 161명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 다음의 결론을 얻을 수 있었다. 첫째, 통합학급 교사가 인식한 지적장애학생의 개인-사회적 기술수준은 전반적으로 ‘보통’ 이하였다. 둘째, 교사 배경변인에 따른 인식의 차이에서는 학교 급이 낮을수록 통합교육 관련 연수경험이 있는 교사일수록 다소 긍정적인 반응을 나타냈다. 이와 같은 결과를 토대로 지적장애학생의 개인-사회적 기술을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램의 개발과 통합학급 교사를 위한 지속적인 연수 제공의 필요성이 시사되었다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to provide the foundation for making the necessary education support ways to practice efficient inclusive education by improving personal-social skills of students with intellectual disabilities in inclusive environments. For the purpose, after identifying the perception level of 161 inclusive classroom teachers for the personal-social skills of the students with intellectual disabilities, we analyzed them according to four backgrounds of teachers. The findings were as follows. First, the perception level of the inclusive classroom teachers for the personal-social skills of the students with intellectual disabilities is below 'normal'. Second, in teachers’ perception level according to the backgrounds of teachers, the lower the level of school is, the more positive the perception level of the teachers is. The experience of training related to inclusion education or understanding of disabilities makes the perception level of the teachers positive. On the basis of the results like this, the necessity of both the development of the programs to improve the personal-social skills of the students with intellectual disabilities and providing continue training programs for the inclusive classroom teachers is implied.
