초등학교 통합학급교사와 특수학급교사의 보편적 학습 설계 적용에 대한 인식 비교

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등학교 통합학급교사와 특수학급교사의 보편적 학습 설계 적용에 대한 인식을 알아보고자 하였다. CAST에서 개발된 설문지를 이용하여 G도에 소재한 특수학급이 설치된 230개 초등학교 통합학급교사와 특수학급교사 각각 150명씩 모두 300명을 대상으로 조사하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학교 통합학급교사와 특수학급교사들은 보편적 학습 설계 적용에 대한 인식은 비교적 낮았으며, 두 집단 간의 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 둘째, 초등학교 통합학급교사의 배경변인에 따른 보편적 학습 설계 적용에 대한 인식은 군·면 지역에 근무하는 교사들이 시 지역에 근무하는 교사들보다 높은 인식을 보였지만 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었다. 셋째, 초등학교 특수학급교사의 배경변인에 따른 보편적 학습 설계 적용에 대한 인식은 군·면 지역에 근무하는 교사가 시 지역에 근무하는 교사보다 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보였고, 교육경력에서 교육경력이 높은 교사 순서로 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 요약하면 보편적 학습 설계의 전체적인 설문 문항에 대한 두 집단의 통계적인 유의한 차이는 없었으나 보편적 학습 설계의 일부 하위요소에 따른 통계적인 유의한 차이를 볼 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과는 초등학교에서 일반학교 교육과정에 보편적 학습설계를 적용하여 장애학생을 포함한 모든 학생의 일반교육과정에의 접근성을 높이기 위한 노력이 꾸준히 이루어질 필요가 있음을 시사하고 있다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to examine the awareness on the application of UDL by the inclusive class teachers and special class teachers of elementary school. The survey was conducted by the questionnaire developed by CAST targeting 150 inclusive class teachers and 150 special class teachers from 230 elementary schools located in G area. The result of this study was as follows. First, the inclusive class teachers and special class teachers of the elementary schools had relatively low awareness on the application of UDL, and the difference between two groups was not statistically significant. Second, regarding the awareness on the application of UDL according to background variables by the inclusive class teachers, the inclusive class teachers working in Gun/Myeon region had higher awareness than the teachers working in urban area. Third, regarding the awareness on the application of UDL according to background variables by of the subject the teachers working in Gun/Myeon region showed more statistically significant differences than the teachers working in urban area. As well, regarding the teaching career, there was a statistically significant difference in the order of the teacher who had higher teaching career. In a short, there was not a statistically significant difference on the whole questionnaire between two groups, but it was shown that there was a statistically significant difference on some sub-categories of UDL.
