스피치 프로그램이 말더듬 아동의 유창성과 의사소통태도 및 자아존중감에 미치는 효과

국문 초록

본 연구는 일반적 스피치 프로그램이 말더듬 아동의 유창성(말더듬 빈도와 비율)과 의사소통 태도 및 자아존중감에 미치는 효과를 검증하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 위하여 대구광역시 만 5세 아동 5명을 대상으로 스피치 프로그램을 실시하여 유창성(말더듬 빈도와 비율)과 의사소통태도 및 자아존중감 효과를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 스피치 프로그램을 말더듬 아동에게 실시한 후 사전, 사후를 비교해 본 결과 대상자 모두 유창성인 말더듬 빈도, 말더듬 비율이 개선되어 스피치 프로그램이 말더듬 아동에 있어서 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 스피치 프로그램을 말더듬 아동에게 실시한 후 사전, 사후를 비교해 본 결과 대상자 모두에게서 의사소통 태도가 개선되어, 스피치 프로그램이 말더듬 아동의 의사소통 태도에 있어서 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 스피치 프로그램을 말더듬 아동에게 실시한 후 사전, 사후를 비교해 본 결과 대상자 모두에게서 자아존중감이 향상되어, 스피치 프로그램이 말더듬 아동의 자아존중감 향상에 있어 긍정적인 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 임상 현장에서 말더듬 아동의 언어치료와 의사소통 태도를 증진시키기 위한 프로그램으로 사용되기를 기대하며, 말더듬 아동의 자아존중감의 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 미치길 기대한다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the speech program on stuttering children’s fluency(frequency and ratio of stuttering), communication attitude, and self-esteem. The speech programs consisted of 12 classes. Five stuttering children aged 5 participated in this study and were tested before and after. Data were analyzed by paired t-test. The results of this study were as follows:First, the speech program has enhanced the fluency of stuttering children, that is, reducing the frequency and ratio of stuttering. This result proved that the speech programs had positive effects in improving stuttering children's fluency. Second, the speech program has enhanced the communication attitude of stuttering children. This result proved that the speech programs had positive effects in improving stuttering children's communication attitude. Third, the speech program enhanced self-esteem of stuttering children. This result proved that the speech programs had positive effects in improving self-esteem of stuttering children. These results suggested that the speech program would help to improve fluency, communication attitude, and self-esteem of stuttering children in clinical settings and contribute to develope speech programs.
