국문 초록

2016년 세계경제포럼에서 클라우스 슈밥 회장이 ‘4차 산업혁명’에 대해 언급한 이후로 그에 대한 관심이 뜨겁다. 특히 4차 산업혁명의 여러 충격들 중 인공지능의 등장은 인간으로 하여금 실존적 불안을 느끼게 하였다. 이 논문은 4차 산업혁명을 맞이한 현재, 대학에서의 글쓰기 교육에 대해 논의하고 그 발전 방향을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 무라카미 하루키의 「해변의 카프카」는 정체성의 위기에 처한 현재 우리의 상황에 기준점을 제시한다. 하루키는 다무라 카프카라는 15살 소년의 삶의 귀환과 성장 과정을 통해 인간의 실존 문제에 가까이 다가선다. 절대 고독에 놓였던 소년은 사람들 간의 ‘연대’를 통해 실존하는 인간으로 정체성을 확립하게 된다. 현재 우리들에게 필요한 것 역시 연대를 통한 인간 정체성의 확립이다. 인간의 정체성을 확립하는 데 필요한 대학 글쓰기 모델로 에세이, 유서, 자기소개서를 꼽을 수 있다. 이 세 가지 모델은 성찰적 글쓰기와 소통적 글쓰기의 특징을 모두 포함하는데, 이 모델들을 활용함으로써 4차 산업혁명을 맞이하면서 생긴 상처를 치유할 수 있을 것이라 기대한다. 한편 디지털 정체성을 내재한 학생들을 대상으로 하기에, 대학 글쓰기 교육은 내용뿐 아니라 방법적 측면들까지도 고려되어야 한다. ‘셰어링’이 글감의 기초가 되고 ‘정보의 융합’이 내용의 확장으로 이어질 수 있어야 한다. 글쓰기 교육의 여러 방법들을 고민해 봄으로써 인간과 사회를 보다 건강하게 만들 수 있을 것이다.

영문 초록

There has been a keen interest about the President Klaus Schwab since he mentioned the “Fourth Industrial Revolution” in the World Economic Forum in 2016. Especially, among the various impacts of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the emergence of artificial intelligence posed an existential threat to humanity. The purpose of this thesis is to discuss postsecondary writing education and suggest the direction of its development at the time of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Kafka on the Shore by Murakami Haruki sets a benchmark for our current situation in the presence of an existential threat. Haruki approaches the problem of human existence through the return and growth process of the life of a 15-year-old boy named Damura Kafka. The boy, who was in absolute solitude, establishes his identity as a living human through “solidarity” with people. What we need now, too, is the establishment of human identity through solidarity. Postsecondary writing models needed to establish human identity include essays, wills, and letters of self-introduction. These three models include both reflexive writing and communicative writing, and they can be used to heal the wounds caused by the Fourth Industrial Revolution. On the other hand, for students with digital identity, postsecondary writing education should take into account not only content but also methodological aspects. “Sharing” should be the basis of the writing and “convergence of information” should lead to the expansion of the content. By considering various ways of writing education, we can make people and the society healthier.
