청년의 장기취업준비 경험에 대한 질적 메타요약 : 희망중심진로발달모델을 중심으로

국문 초록

연구목적: 본 연구는 청년이 장기적으로 취업 준비를 하는 과정에서 경험하는 바를 질적 연구를 종합하는 질적 메타요약 방법을 적용하여 희망중심진로발달모형의 관점으로 확장적인 해석을 제시할 목적으로 수행 되었다. 연구방법: 이를 위해 국내 학술지 논문 및 학위논문 중 ‘취업 준비 기간이 12개월 이상인 연구참여자’를 대 상으로 한 질적 연구 15편을 선정하여 질적 메타요약 방법으로 각 연구결과를 통합하여 청년의 장기적 취 업 준비 경험에 대해 분석하였다. 연구결과: 총 331개의 의미 단위를 추출하고 37개 기술적 주제, 13개 종합적 주제, 6개의 핵심주제를 도출 하였다. 도출된 핵심주제는 1) 좁은 취업 문 앞, 지갑은 얇고 기대는 무겁다, 2) 취업 스트레스로 심신에 적 신호가 켜지다, 3) 취업 준비가 장기화되면서 자존감이 바닥에 떨어지다, 4) 외부의 시선이 두려워 고립이 심화되다, 5) 사람들의 응원과 도움으로 다시 일어서다, 6) 희망을 유지하며 꾸준히 노력하다로 나타났다. 그리고 높은 효과 크기로 나타난 기술적 주제는 ‘부모의 지원에 대한 무거운 채무감(53%)’, ‘가족의 기대에 대한 심리적 압박감(53%), ’우울과 무기력이 심각해짐(53%)‘, ’관계의 단절과 고립 심화(53%)’로 장기취업 준 비과정에서의 심리적/사회적 어려움에 해당하였다. 논의 및 결론: 도출된 분석 결과를 바탕으로 장기취업 준비 청년을 위한 희망중심진로발달모형에 기반한 진로상담적 개입 방안과 후속연구를 위한 시사점과 제안점을 제시하고 본 연구의 한계점을 도출하였다.

영문 초록

Purpose: This study aims to provide an expanded interpretation of young adults’ long-term job preparation experiences by applying a qualitative metasummary method to existing qualitative research, grounded in the Hope-Centered Career Development Model(HCDM). Methods: For this purpose, 15 qualitative studies from domestic academic journals and theses were selected, focusing on participants who had been preparing for employment for 12 months or longer. Using the qualitative sythesized method, the findings of these studies were integrated and analyzed to gain insight into the long-term job preparation experiences of youths. Results: A total of 331 meaning units were extracted and categorized into 37 descriptive themes, 13 comprehensive themes, and 6 core themes. The core themes identified were 1) Facing a narrow job market door-light wallets, heavy expectations, 2) Physical and mental distress triggered by job-search stress, 3) Diminishing self-esteem as job preparation becomes prolonged, 4) Deepening isolation due to fear of others' perceptions, 5) Rising again through the encouragement and support of others, 6) Maintaining hope and persevering through steady efforts. The descriptive themes with the highest frequency effect sizes (53%) included: ‘Heavy sense of indebtedness for parental support’, ‘Psychological pressure from family expectations’, ‘Severe depression and lethargy’, ‘Intensified disconnection and isolation’ These highlight the significant psychological and social challenges faced by long-term job seekers. Conclusion: Based on the analysis, this study proposes career counseling interventions grounded in the Hope-Centered Career Development Model tailored for young adults engaged in prolonged job preparation. It also outlines implications for future research and acknowledges limitations of the current study.
