국문 초록

본 연구는 지역사회 교육활동가의 퍼실리테이션 경험과 의미 탐색을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 퍼실리테이션 교육을 이수하고 지역사회 교육활동 경력 3년이상 된 여성 마을교육활동가 13명을 의도적 표집방식으로 선정하였다. 심층면담으로 자료를 수집하고 지속적 비교분석방법으로 연구결과를 도출하였다. 분석을 통해 지역사회 교육활동가들은 가르침을 넘어선 가치에 대한 고민으로 퍼실리테이션 교육에 참여하게 되었고, 생각의 한계를 넘어서야 함을 자각하게 되었다. 지역사회 교육 활동에 퍼실리테이션 실천을 위해 체화가 필요함을 인식하고 시행착오를 통해 스스로의 방법을 체득하게 되며 지속적인 실천 경험으로 새롭게 자신을 발견하고 전문가로서의 성장의 기제로 활용하였다. 퍼실리테이션 경험이 개인의 변화만을 의미하는 것이 아니라 지역사회의 연대와 공론 형성 기제로 활용되며, 협업의 즐거움이 연대로 확산되는 능동적 연대로의 재생산을 의미하게 되었다. 본 연구는 퍼실리테이션이 지역사회 교육활동가의 사고 전환과 지역사회의 변화와 성장을 가져오는 역동적 실천의 기반을 제공한다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다.

영문 초록

This study aims to explore the facilitation experiences and meanings of community education activists. For this purpose, 13 activists who had completed facilitation training and had at least three years of experience in community education were selected through a purposive sampling method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using a continuous comparison method. Analysis revealed that community education activists participated in facilitation training out of a desire for values beyond teaching, and that they realized the need to transcend the limitations of their thinking. Community educators recognized the need for embodied facilitation to apply it to their educational activities. Through trial and error, they developed their own methods, and through continuous practice, they rediscovered themselves and utilized it as a mechanism for professional growth. The research results confirmed that facilitation not only fosters individual change, but also serves as a mechanism for community solidarity and public opinion formation. The facilitation of community educators signifies the reproduction of the joy of collaboration into active solidarity. The results of this study are significant in that facilitation provides a foundation for dynamic practices that foster a shift in the mindset of community educators and bring about community change and growth.
