초등 예비교사의 미술을 통한 세계시민교육 프로그램 개발의 실제: AI·디지털 교육을 중심으로

국문 초록

본 연구는 초등 예비교사가 AI·디지털 교육을 중심으로 미술을 통한 세계시민교육 프로그램을 개발하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 지역 간 상호 연계성 및 의존성의 확대, 국제 인권 체제의 통합, 초국가적 시민참여의 새로운 형태의 출현 등이 확대되면서 세계화는 가속화되었고, 그 결과 지구촌은 그 어느 때보다도 밀접하게 연결되어 있다. 그러나 이와 함께 인류는 국가 차원을 넘어서는 인류 공동의 위기를 더욱 직접적으로 체감하게 되었다. 이러한 시대적인 변화 속에서 세계시민교육은 고등 교육뿐만 아니라 초등교육에서도 필수적인 교육으로 자리 잡고 있으며 미술교육 분야에서도 세계시민교육과 관련된 연구가 다양한 영역에서 이루어지고 있다. 하지만 세계시민교육을 초등학교 현장에서 실행해야 하는 초등 예비교사를 대상으로 진행한 연구는 상대적으로 부족하다. 따라서 본 연구는 A교육대학교 미술교육 전공 수업을 수강한 2학년 예비 교사 수강생을 대상으로 미술을 통한 세계시민교육 프로그램을 개발하도록 하여 개발 과정을 구체적으로 살펴보고 미술을 통한 세계시민교육 프로그램 실행의 교육적 시사점을 도출하였다. 세 가지 시사점으로 ‘세계시민교육에 대한 이해의 확장’, ‘AI·디지털 도구 활용 역량 강화’, ‘미술 중심 교과 융합 프로젝트의 효과와 가치 발견’을 도출하였으며 미술을 통한 세계시민교육이 나아가야 할 방향에 대해 제안하였다.

영문 초록

The purpose of this study is to develop global citizenship education programs through art for elementary pre-service teachers focusing on AI and digital education. Globalization has accelerated with the expansion of interconnections and dependencies among regions, the consolidation of the international human rights system, and the emergence of new forms of transnational civic engagement, and as a result, the global society is more closely connected than ever before. However, it has also made humanity more directly aware of common crisis that transcend national boundaries. In these changing times, global citizenship education has become an essential part of not only higher education but also elementary education, and research related to global citizenship education in the field of art education has been conducted in various areas. However, there is a relative lack of research on elementary pre-service teachers who have to implement global citizenship education in elementary schools. Therefore, this study asked second-year pre-service teachers who took an art education major course at A National University of Education to develop global citizenship education programs through art to specifically examine the development process and draw educational implications of implementing global citizenship education programs through art. The three implications were ‘expanding the understanding of global citizenship education’, ‘strengthening the ability to utilize AI and digital tools’, and ‘discovering the effectiveness and value of art-centered cross-curricular projects’. Furthermore, suggestions were made for the direction of global citizenship education through art.
