국문 초록

본 연구는 미술교육의 방향성에 대한 탐색으로서 존재론적 관점에서 미술교육의 본질적 의의와 교육적 가능성을 모색한다. 미술은 인간의 감성적 측면에 기반한 심미적 접근이며 동시에 시지각을 중심으로 하는 가시적 접근, 그리고 재료와의 직접적 만남을 통한 물질적 접근이기도 하다. 심미성과 물질성의 교차는 예술의 일회적 경험을 넘어 존재와 대상을 통해 인간과 세계 사이의 관계를 구성하는 교육적 장으로서 미술교육의 의의를 드러낸다. 존재와 공간 체험의 장으로서 미술교육은 지각과 상상의 작용을 통해 인간 형성의 가능성을 열어주며 미술교육을 기반으로 하는 미래 교육의 방향성에 대한 거시적 탐색을 가능하게 한다. 여기서는 팀 잉골드의 존재론과 형식 비판을 중심으로 이론들을 조망하여 미술교육을 존재와 대상, 형식과 감각, 공간과 생성의 체험의 인식으로 재개념화한다. 그 과정에서 학교 미술교육의 현재적 한계, 미술교육의 의의와 가능성의 관점에서 존재론에 기반한 교육적 전환의 가능성, 나아가 미래사회에서의 미술교육의 방향을 탐색한다.

영문 초록

This study explores the essence and educational potential of art education from an ontological perspective as a means of examining the direction of art education. Art is an aesthetic approach based on the emotional aspect of humans, and at the same time a visible approach centered on visual perception, as well as a material approach through direct encounters with materials. The intersection of aesthetics and materiality reveals the significance of art education as an educational field that forms the relationship between humans and the world through existence and objects, beyond the one-time experience of art. Art education, as a place of existence and spatial experience, opens the possibility of human formation through the action of perception and imagination, and enables a macroscopic inquiry into the direction of future education based on art education. To this end, by examining theories grounded in Tim Ingold’s ontology and critique of form, art education is to be reconceptualized as a recognition of existence and objects, form and sense, space and creation experiences. In doing so, this study explores the current limitations of school art education, the potential for an ontologically grounded educational transformation, and its broader direction for the future.
